Hey Guys,

Finally I've found a way to use my Model Edits again.

You just have to extract your MPQ's into a folder named "patch-Z.MPQ" into your Data folder.
And then it worked

awesome, gonna test this. Which MPQ did you find you had to edit to make model swaps work? Just want to know to test spell swapping (should work the same as model swaps)

OK CONFIRMED! THIS WORKS! Now to just find out how to spell swap again ><. THANK YOU SO MUCH you have been such a great help to me. Here is your rep , I just extracted an old Orc Fem > Hum Male edit I had before 4.0.1 and sure enough this did the trick, very well done sir, very well done.

did you just extract an old edit from pre patch? Or did you make a completely new one?

any of the spell.dbc files i edit, none of them successfully swap spells still. I know if model swaps work this way, spells should. I will post if i can ever get it to work again and what MPQ i used.

It didn't work for me, tested 5 MPQ's (moonkin > *random*) and none show up. They all didn't work the 'normal' way either, not sure what I'm doing wrong!

I extract a mpq file I have with mpqextractor, in a directory called "patch-Z.MPQ" (so the raw files are in that folder, no actual MPQ files) - but nothing shows up.
