this is what i mean (i guess not everyone knows how to do these edits):

1. open up your favorite MPQ editor. For example use MyWarcraftStudio
2. load the MPQ you downloaded, probably something like patch-z.MPQ
3. You should see three folders on the left: Item, Character, DBFilesClient. Extract each folder somewhere so you can repack it.
4. in your extracted DBFilesClient, there should be four .dbc files. Delete the ChrRaces.dbc file.
5. create new MPQ in whatever program you used.
6. Repack the 3 folders in it, with the ChrRaces.dbc file taken out of the DBFilesClient folder of course.
7. save it and close

If you really need pictures, let me know. It shouldn't be that bad though. Try it out. It may not work for all of them but so far it works for me.

only problem left is the boot fix wich is includet in the chrraces.dbc.

ok i tried it but i cant get wow to work. exe error after starting wow through the launcher.

what i have done :
-extract the newest chrrace.dbc from the patch.mpq
-editet the tauren line (14) to orc (12)
-saved it and repack everything with the old files wich work

maybe someone give me a description how i can fix the boots

Yea deleting that file deletes the boot fix but it works so im not complaining haha

i had got one modelchange wich worked.
it was tam-> udmale from the other thread.
just used the chrrace.dbc from this working modelchange and repacked everything.
but i dont know what is different between this chrrace.dbc and the other ones


E: ok i found some npcs wich are bugged ( small blue/white cubes )

Great model edits ubermonkey I'm really glad that we don't have to use WoWMe which means I can use smoothping with the edit - its great!

I just have one thing to report, with the Scourge Female -> Gnome Female edit there seems to be a bug with druid cat forms of both races, they look like a box with blue and white squares. Also if I was to find a druid in any other form and then they go cat form they stay in whatever model they were before shifting (which results in some pretty funny feral leaping tauren and bears ).

Not a big issue, slightly confusing sometimes for pvp but just thought I'd let ya know.
