Can just anyone tell me what I shall do with the .mpq file?

I'm a really newbie at this..
I've downloaded DwM to HuF.

Place the file in your data folder named patch-(INSERT NUMBER BETWEEN 1-9).MPQ
Make sure the p on patch is lower case and .MPQ is caps.
So it would look like patch-4.MPQ

this is what i mean (i guess not everyone knows how to do these edits):

1. open up your favorite MPQ editor. For example use MyWarcraftStudio
2. load the MPQ you downloaded, probably something like patch-z.MPQ
3. You should see three folders on the left: Item, Character, DBFilesClient. Extract each folder somewhere so you can repack it.
4. in your extracted DBFilesClient, there should be four .dbc files. Delete the ChrRaces.dbc file.
5. create new MPQ in whatever program you used.
6. Repack the 3 folders in it, with the ChrRaces.dbc file taken out of the DBFilesClient folder of course.
7. save it and close

If you really need pictures, let me know. It shouldn't be that bad though. Try it out. It may not work for all of them but so far it works for me.

So I tried the steps you posted with Orc Female -> Night Elf Female file but when I open the MPQ file MyWarCraftStudio only shows 2 folders ( Item and Character ) is there something am I missing?

Im pretty sure that Ubermonkey isnt doing any more requests. I dont think he has for a while now. Its pretty easy though to just modify the edits yourself to make them work. play around with it and you will figure it out. i did post a quick guide if you get stuck a few pages ago in this thread.
