Any chance of sound replacements for Undead->High elf?
Cool work, can't wait for sounds for the undead!
Excellent work on this model.
I got some questions if you don't mind. I am currently using the Human to High Elf conversion. I was wondering if it was possible to convert ONLY my current Human hair style, hair color and such and the rest leave it normal ? That way , alot of the NPC would be normal looking (maybe . . I'm just guessing)
Also, since I've already selected a Human Hair style before my friend showed me this model edit, the Blood elf Hair style that is matched with my Human Hair style is currently not the one I want. Is it possible to change my Blood Elf hair style while keeping my real Human hair style ? Since we cannot change our real hair style, I was wondering if that is possible.
I've been trying to find a way, but if you can help me in any way, I would appreciate it
CharHairGeosets.dbc
This file controls the hair model used, do note that hair styles are race specific.
To change a hairstyle to another one of your choice, you need to edit the DBC file.
Once open, Col. 1 is the Index, Col. 2 is Race, Col. 3 is Gender and Col. 4 is the Hair Geoset.
Col.4 is the only one you'll want to edit.
If i change my charhairgeosets.dbc like this:
race ID 6 , Gender 1, hairstyle 2 -> 11, i dont get hairstyle 11 from the highelfsi get a bald high elf! I even tried to change the last column to 13 (the same as with BE Female hairstyle 11) and she is still bald. How can i fix this? Do i have to edit more DBC files?
Great work btw!
I +repped you![]()

Technically what you did should've worked.
Try changing it to a lower number and seeing if works, then work your way up.
Ok, the problem was, i editted the field that says the number of the style, instead of the geoset number. So i actually removed the hair style instead of changing it to the correct one. I fixed this and it works now.
I editted the model edit so my char's skin, earrings, haircolor and style are to my likings.
Your tauren model edit doesn't have the correct earings, it just doesn't show them. You can adjust these in characterfacialhairstyles.dbc by copying the female blood elf fields to the female tauren fields. Some goes for the tauren male's i think.
This is actualy a pretty neat editNice one mate
Hi, I'm kinda new here and I did get this mod to work, great job on it. However, I too had a problem with how my high elf looks and found this post. I searched my WoW folder and all its subfolders for charhairgeosets.dbc and it wasn't there. Since the small update Blizzard did yesterday, did the file change or something? I can't even find any .dbc files in my WoW directory. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
It's in the MPQ file you downloaded. For which you'll need a program like MyWarcraftStudio to open.
I downloaded MyWarcraftStudio and it doesn't seem to work with Windows Vista. Is there another program I can try to read MPQ files that is compatible with Windows Vista?
EDIT: I did get it to work, however, I don't see the DBC file you said was there. There were three different ones that I couldn't seem to edit. Maybe I should just give up?
