From my post at Glider forums
I felt like contributing something, quite a while ago now.
What I've learned about Battleground Botting:
For WSG: check out the WSG at lvl10-19 if you lose/win within a sensible time, you can get all the marks you need without the risk of botting it at 60-69 and 70. There's alot of lvl10-19 games around (twinks gallore)
These people are much more aware of you being a bot, WSG being an extreme teamgame after all, and cramped too. Very easy to detect your patrol route, even if you use group profiles.
For AB: Get marks when you hit lvl60-69, there are fairly many games in here, and not remotely as dangerous as WSG at this level. Get your marks here.
For AV: Bot your honor at lvl61 or close to it, due to previously said. You can still buy all your gear and keep it in your bags.
Keep your profile away from those ****ing towers, too many bots have been reported running into those walls, foolishly targeting the defenders on the top. Also keep your profile running around your base, not the opposite faction. You'll die alot, but you won't get AFK debuffs.
20 AFK debuffs / 24 hours: 3 hour suspension, or something like it. Havn't figured it out, not problem for me though, since I never get it!
For EoTS: Noone cares if you're a bot, they just want this shit over with as fast as possible. Only games at 70 here I'm afraid..
Compiled general tips:
- Get WSG and AB marks early.
- The lower level the better, you'll die so fast they won't see you're a bot.
- Broken gear, some people might complain or note that you have 4k hp at lvl70, or 2k at lvl60, but again you'll die so fast in combat that they can't see your bottish combat cycle. The more hp and resilence you have, the more likely that people will just see that. Play the random noob, you'll be useless, but you won't be suspicious.
- Use a noncombat pet. If you can get around using it. For casters I have a macro "/use yournameofnoncombatpet" together with Armor Buffs, it'll run around you. I have yet to see ONE bot doing this except me. The rarer pet the better. This might screw me over, but if you do that also it'll be fine. =p I tend to get a disgusting oozeling at lvl50-60, which I use for this purpose. No bot in their right mind would bother with such a pet.
- Do understand that people are very aware of bots in battlegrounds, a good custom class and good profile will only help you so much. Planning ahead will really do a greater or equal effort against having you suspended/banned.
Won't release my profile groups I'm afraid. honor between thieves
