What follows is the progress I've made on a guide about raiding as a Horde Retribution Paladin. Before I expect you to take anything I have to say as true, I would like to introduce myself and why I'm qualified to write such a guide:
- I have been playing WoW since December 2004
- I currently raid as a Blood Elf Retadin and have been for the past four months
- I have seen every boss in SSC, TK, Hyjal and BT die while I was in the raid spec'd for Retribution
- My guild has had Illidan Stormrage dead for two months now
- I will be raiding Sunwell as Retribution when it comes out and will continue on into WotLK as Retribution as well.
Hopefully that background helps you understand me a bit. Without further adieu, here is what I've written so far:

Please let me know what you think and please share any additions you would like to see. Some additions I have planned are as follows:
1) Tricks of the Trade - a bulleted list of "tricks" Retadins can use to increase their performance in raids (i.e. put Blessing of Sacrifice on the MT. This not only mitigates some of their damage but also allows you to get extra mana back from Spiritual Attunement)
2) PvP as a Retadin - an entire section dedicated to PvP as a Ret Paladin in both solo and group settings (i.e. In a group setting, save Crusader Strike and Judgment for immediately after a Seal of Command proc. This will maximize your "burst" damage and "burst" damage is what kills people easiest in PvP - not consistent, regular damage)
