Primal Farming

First of all, I'm sure that similar guides do exist.
This one is based upon me and my explorations since TBC release.

First of all (counting from 2.3):

A lot of mobs had their drop rate lowered on must stuff (sunfury signets for example in SMW/NS)

Ordinary trash/greens/blues got their drop rates lowered taken world based
(only in Outlands as far as I can see)

Several mobs dropping Primals (motes literary) got their drop rate lowered (however) This didn't seem to occur to mobs lower than 68 (except from the Voidwalkers in HF).

This nerf happened when 2.3 was released (I've tested my results on 2 servers (I'm cofident enough to believe that this isn't some server only nerf)

Now since most primal farming spots have gotten nerfed (like the air/mana/water in SMW). Primal Water in skettis (never tried but I got reports from friends saying that is was)

Primal Mana in Kirin'var Village (NS) was also nerfed, along with that the mobs around (the humans ghosts turn now into highborne ghosts which didn't happen before 2.3 and they hit a lot harder)

Now for the farming spots left to use:

The Muck Spawn's around Halaa, around lvl 64-66. Drop chance to drop Mote of Water is around 32-40% (taken from 527 mote drops on 2 different servers after 2.3) (Mobinfo was used to record the drop rate). They drop 1-2 motes. Perfect place for any Class (except Frost Mages/Shamans) to farm. I found it easiest for a Rogue/warlock to handle.

The Spawning Gel + Quagg Ridge in Zangarmarch have Bog Lords and Fungal Giants that drop Mote of Life, level range is 63-64, drop chance was 32-38% (after 336 motes), drops 1-2 (I think it may have occurred few times that they may even have dropped 3) Can be "skinned" with Herbalism (was 325+ or so) for random herbs/trash + Unidentified Plant Parts. Best place famed was with a Rogue/Mage/Warlock/Priest (Shadow)

Primal Mana is left to be checked (In NS), will do that tomorrow.

Primal Air is left to be checked.
Primal Fire is left to be checked.
Primal Shdow (There's a lot of places for these, haven't tried any yet. Will do that soon enough)

I will update this thread whenever possible. Note this "guide us supposed to show you were to farm them easiest. Not were mobs (of any kind) drop em.

Well thank you for this, I've been farming Primal Shadow around Oshu'Gun in Nagrand (BORING!) Maybe I'll switch to the Muck Spawns.. Few of them around PLUS if you have Halaa capped, easy vendor/repair!! (You can also turn in the crystal powder)

Perfect place for any Class to farm. I found it easiest for a Rogue/warlock/shaman to handle.

How come you find a shaman to farm those water elementals easiest. They're immune to all nature spells which makes it hard for both ele+enhancement shamans to farm.

My bad. Was teaming up with a friend (lock) so I didn't put that I mind as I was healing will edit the above.

i've farmed now for 25min and only 1 essence of water so not that good drop chance at all
