[Guide] To getting Shat'ari Skyguard Reputation

I did not make this guide, can be found on the www.************.com forums, recognition goes to Xavalia.

Anyway from the start it will be 2 chains. One leading to Barrier Hills and the other leading to Lower City and then Blade Edge Mountains. The latter will bring you to Ogri'la first, but it is needed to make the rep grind somewhat easier. When you are doing the quests in BEM also do all of the Ogri'la quests there while you can. Makes the grind somewhat easier.

NEUTRAL -> FRIENDLY:

* Barrier Hills. Kill 20 ogres and go to Skettis. Easy enough, I am leaving it here for now.


Blade Edge Mountains

* In Shattrah City starts the chain quest for this part. You will get send to Lower City and then to Blade Edge Mountain. There you have to kill 5 Son of Gruuls. Note you can actually leech the quest from others and loot 'chest' as I call it. It can be used/looted by everyone before it despawns. Then head to Orgi'la Base.
* From here there are several quests which you will need to do. Since this guide will focus on Sha'tari Sky Guards I will not list or describe them. After doing most of them (none of the group quests are needed) you will be asked to go the Sha'Tari landing base diretecly north of the Ogri'la base.
* Now that both prequest chains are done the next part will start. From the last point in BEM I suggest you do all the quest here. Note that all these quests will grant both Ogri'La and Sha'tari reputation. On avarage 250 reputation each and the group quests 500.
* Here there will be 2 daily quests in my opinion essential. First is the bombing Terror Camps. Note that this quest is EXTREME lagging if you go to the north Camp, I suggest you take the south camp. This quest will grant you the first time 500 reputation for both factions. Then you can do this again and it will be a Daily Quest. Again granting 500 reputation for both factions. As you have noticed by now there is also some nether ray's flying around which are neutral. These will serve as your flying mount later (no joke that is why you catch them). 350 reputation for both factions again. The only other quest of interest is the dragon killing one. 500 reputation, not repeatable. Nice quick bonus rep and can give you an epic item. Depleted Mail Gauntlets - Items - World of Warcraft is an example which I got. They generally drop a green item and a Asperix Crystal. (Reputation rewards from Ogri'la are in general rather trash if you ask me. Atleast they are cheap though..).


We are now done in this area for now (or today I should say Tongue)[/li][/list]

Skettis.

This area is really limited in what you can do quest wise. The main chain quest here is kinda boring and will lead and guide you into the silithus type of grind.

Worth while quests:

* there are 2 daily quests here. Both are very easy to do and very quick.
* First one is gained from the camp. bomb eggs. no biggie, watch out for the birds though, the big ones. They are very annoying can cause you to fall and have warrior like abilities, hamstring, stun and rend and some other crap. They have never loot and do not give reputation at all (unless I missed it. Evade them and fly over the houses in the trees, eggs are at the very top.
* The second daily quest is even easier. At 3 points in Skettis should have a prisoner in a tree which requires an escort. From the first tree top where he is you only need to guide him over the bridge and then from the second tree to the ground. You get attacked twice first 1 mob then twice. There should be no interference from other mobs. Each of them gives 350 reputation on a daily bases. The first day you cannot do both double. The 3 points are the north side, from the base first tree on the left, South-West side, the tree in the farthest back, and the last one is at the Noth-West most side way.
* Get a nether ray pet and feed him the food, one time only.


At this point you should be really close to friendly if not already. Up to this point grated me 2k reputation with Ogri'la and 2.5-3k reputation with Sha'Tari Sky Guards. I am just gonna asumme you are friendly now, if not then just pretend you are.

FRIENDLY -> HONORED:

Ok the reason why I stated to pretend you are friendly is because now you will focus on the main quest chain.

* Get 6 Shadow Dust from the Skettis. The birds are not worth killing, in general Neutral and on avarage 2.5 reputation. They always drop a grey item, rarely money as well but very few.. The first time you do this quest you get 250 reputation. After this it becomes repeatable and only grant 75 reputation. You get a lovely elixer in which you can see ghosts for 15 minutes.
* Now you have the elixir you asked to kill 3 priests. All of them are north and north east. 2 in the trees and 2 in a house on the ground north east, just fly around. 15 min should be more then enough to find and kill them. Btw do not die while you have the elixir on you. You will loose the effect and it is a shame to waste it like that. One of the priests will drop an item which grant you the next part of the chain quest. When you have killed the 3 priests and still have time over kill the ghosts around as much as you can. They drop 'Time-Lost Scroll'. Keep those as you will need a lot more later on.
* Ok once done that part get to the Blackwind Landing, then Lower City and then Blackwind Landing again. Next part starts. The current quest giver sais his military will take care of the rest.. yeah right they only time when they will is when you are fighting some nasty evil boss.. anyway next to him is an skettis in a cage. He offers help. Do his quest and he will ask for package. Then will ask for killing 4 mini bosses. This is where things start to get tedious. I hope you have some Shadow Dust. If not I hope you have some elixirs to see ghost.. if not then get them >.< just like I explain previously. The quest states you need 10 scrolls for this. Well guess again. You need 40 in total. You have most likely seen the summonings circles around. Well there is where you summon them.
* Anyway, get 40 scrolls, should take between 3 and 5 ghost elixirs max. Unless you managed to waste 1 or 2 or perhaps even more. Get some more people and start summoning. There are 4 in total.
* From the order you can summon (I will look up names later):

* First one is a lizard type of way, at times he will go nuts and do some aoe and teleport around a bit. Like the food you have been giving the Hungry Nether Ray at the start.
* The second one is a Skettis himself and rather easy. At some times he will summon a couple of birds in to help him. Between 6-8 or so. These guys die within 1 shot. I was one shotting them with 1 Mindflay ticks of around 550, my guess is that they have like 400 health or so.
* The third is a golem and perhaps the hardest one. At random times or so he will get big, becomes red, slow and does an emote stating on who he will focus, that person has to kite him around. This will last only for a few seconds though so no worries as long as that person does not try to tank it. (5200 damage besides the 2k melee damage i got for being cloth. Probably fixed.) other then that he hits kinda hard at times.
* Last one is a serpent, he does random aoe bolts of air on people. Does not hit hard but can be a tad annoying. They die rather quick. I guess around 80-100k health. (As soon as I have more information on this I will list it as my addons are not totally set yet and rather buggy.)

* Hand this quest in and it will become repeatable. 350 reputation is what you get. Each of these bosses also gives 50 reputation netting you a total 750 reputation. Not bad and this is not including the reputation for killing all the skettis and ghosts to get all the stuff you need.


At this point you should be almost Honored though anyway to finish it off:

* After this you will get an item which allows you get summon Terokk. Time-Lost Offering As well when you are about to do this the first time the quest for this called 'Terokk's Downfall'. You will summon him at the very center. Hard to miss.
* His abilities. He has 2 abilities which are worth while mentioning.
* Every once in a while he does an debuff on a person. That person will grow in size and will have aggro on him for the remaining duration of the debuff (10 seconds). All healing received (or done, will check later) and damage dealt is doubled. He is yelling for you to show him what you got.
* At 23-25% (unlike what wowwiki sais!) he will become immune to all damage. At this point the Skyguard (I told you they would help when you are killing some evil boss Tongue) will start to throw bombs. This is marked by a blue what seems to be a spout from the ground. get him straight on it. The guards will through a bomb there and putting him in blue flames. While those flames are there he will become enraged but also takes damage. Repeat this till he is dead. Should not take more then 2-3 bombs though.
* He will drop a random blue item with a random enchant or an epic along some crap. Killing him will grant you 200 reputation. If you have the quest for him then that will grant you another 1000 reputation.


HONORED -> REVERED:

I cannot totally finish this all the way to exalted but there is one thing to mention which is helpfull. Once honored you can fly between the 2 bases on a nether ray for no cost.

From this point onwards there are the following to do:

Daily Quests:

* Aerial Bombing on the eggs (skettis): 350 rep
* Aerial Bombing on fel cannon balls (BEM, also Ogri'la): 500 rep
* Wrangling Nether Rays (BEM, also Ogri'la): 350 rep
* Escort Quest (Skettis): 350 rep


Total of 1550 reputation every day.

Terokk:

* 6 Shadow Dust, atleast 30 rep, avarage 1 on 3-4 mobs drops them, so safe to say 100 rep by killing enemies. another 75 reputation from the elixir.
* For the Scrolls multiply this by 4 (taking it safe) for an total of 525 rep (excluding the rep doing this for the first of the 4 as stated right above here).
* Doing the 4 Mini bosses, 550 reputation (assuming you are the only one taking the quest item and other don't need their summon).
* Summon Terokk and killing him another 200 rep.


Total of 1450 and excluding killing trash to make space for the mini bosses.

Total of 2900 reputation if try to do the above every day.

REVERED -> EXALTED:

If you have been following this guide and also did the Ogri'La faction quests then you should be honored very soon with them. Doing so will result in another daily quest for both factions. 'Banish more Demons' First day you can do this twice before it is a daily quest. This quest gives you a total of 350 rep for each faction the first time you complete it. The Asperix Shards you have been getting are usefull here as this quest requires you around 3-8 every day. Use the others you have on whatever summon you want. I will check soon whether this quest gives also sha'tari skyguard reputation, not sure if it will.

Another thing you get when hitting revered is that every skyguards NPC will cheer for you. 'Hey Xavalia, can you feel the need? The need for speed!', 'Hey Xavalia, you and I should race some day!' I also have been called 'Ace' and 'Skypirate'. It is pure for fun though Smiley

Anyway to summarize this now:

1900 reputation from daily quests and 1450 reputation atleast if you try to kill Terokk atleast once every day as well.

Things to note:

* The 4 Minibosses drop only 1 quest item each summon and take up 10 scrolls. So for 3 man party where all 3 need all 4 the items a total of 120 scrolld 40 each.
* You CAN choose which one you want to summon (unlike the summoning stones in silithus >.<)
* The 4 minibosses will drop a blue BoP item with random enchant. These items are rather good if you ask me (ring 14 sta, 11 int 29 spelldamage + healing for example).
* If your group dies while fighting any of the mini bosses or terokk the scrolls or the Time-Lost Offering for Terokk you will need to get a new one for a summon. Sorry folks that hasn't changed at all.
* The Aerial Bombing in BEM in the north terror camp is EXTREME lagging. guild mates who normally have 60 fps dropped there to 10-12 where I am usually having 30 fps in raids dropped to 6-7 in there. This quest is very annoying but to leave it there since it is still 500 rep for both factions. I get the double to triple fps in the southcamp compared to the north one. I suggest you go to the south camp.
* There is another Daily quest in Ogri'la base. Called 'Asperix Emanuation'. This one will only grant 500 Ogri'la reputation. Still I would not leave this behind. 15 Aspexis Shards and 12gold is not for bad for less then 5 minutes.
* Grind Orgi'la reputation is a good thing to reach additional daily quests for the Skyguards.
* The daily quests in BEM will always give 15 Aspexis Shards each time along 12g. (good for making money along the day, can kill dragons, demons from Ogri'la to get more random greens and blues and even epics!)


Hope this helps (couldn't find a guide so I wrote this). Comments and Questions are always welcome. I am atm at 5000 of 21000 of Revered to Exalted but there does not seem to be any more to this than listed as even Terokk is already slain. I doubt I will reach revered with Ogri'La before I hit exalted. Ogri'La is netting me a 1450 reputation a day only while I get 4-5k reputation a day with Sha'tari Skyguards.

Why not just go to mmochampion? All guides and maps to rep-grinding can be found there for all TBC factions - including this one since it was made for their site
