Today is Pirate's day, and that means Booty! And cross server gold transfers!
Not the human kind of booty.
The Big, full, heavy and swollen bags of booty! Big Bag of Booty - Item - World of Warcraft
You can buy these things in Booty Bay for 300 gold, and upon using them they drop an average of 285 gold. What a ripoff, right?
Not really! Other players can loot the piles of gold that they drop, making this a premium item for transferring gold directly across servers, accounts or characters through a low profile method that's only available once a year! On pirate's day! Yarrrr.

There must be an exploit with this right? Like duping gold and shit
-
Legendary
This has been exploited to an extreme extend for gold sellers the past couple of of years. If you're lucky to find a place where they stack and loot these, then you can loot their gold while they afk this. Good luck finding them though

How would I go about finding the object ID?
-
I just love KuRIoS
wowhead.
as an example:
The Copper vein (the object that appears in game that you mine copper ore from) the wowhead URL is this:
Code:
http://www.wowhead.com/object=1731/copper-vein
in that, the Object ID would be the number after object=. wowhead simply uses blizzards internal object id#s for catagorizing there objects.
so, for the piles of gold, find the exact name of the object that spawns in game and look it up on wowhead. once you find it, verify its the right item, then pull the object ID# out of the URL.
This may be a bit of a PITA to track down.
(don't post things I post to Patreon.)
