PROPERLY prospect your Felslate and Leystone Ore "Gem Chips"

Steps to Prospecting Properly Understanding the Gem Chips

Until they fix MASS Prospecting, stay away from it Single Prospecting is the way to go. (5 at a time)
Turn OFF Auto Loot As you prospect 5 at a time(felslate or leystone ore), the loot window will give you a gem chip, OR a gem chip WITH a gem itself. IF auto loot is on, the chances of you seeing the gem chip COLOR that came out is slim to none.
WHY is the gem chip important? It will tell you what EXACT color gem is coming next, rare or unrare. [Example : you prospect 5 leystone ore, it spits out a green gem chip by itself...NOW you know that a green gem(s) is 100% coming next. This is useful because you can switch between prospecting Felslate and Leystone Ore knowing Felslate yields more gem procs! I hope this makes sense, here is a short video explaining it fully.

Unfortunately it seems that they stealth nerfed the chances of getting rare gems on Felslate a few days back. Was a big thing on /r/woweconomy.

They did "hotfix" it. But typical wow fix they basically made Single Prospect rate equate to Mass prospect rate. In other words single prospecting became as bad as mass prospecting even though their patch notes hotfix says the opposite. So single prospect went from having something like 3 times better than than mass prospecting due to a bug to being "hotfixed" to be as shitty as mass prospecting LOL.

This is really awesome. I like to save up my ore before I sell. Few stacks before I hit the AH. So I had 5 stacks of leystone and 2 of felslate saved up.

Worked perfectly. Also found out that you can get 5x rare gems at one time. I thought 2 was the max.

    +rep and thank you!

Isnt that exactly how Blizzard explained it would work... ?

Anyhow, mass got fixed, however still seem to get better results from single's but the difference aint that huge anymore.
I'm shocked the real trick aint going on around on forums yet, ill share somewhere in the next few days.
