Have Gold Stashed Away and Want to Play?

Hello All,

With the introduction of the WoW Game Time Token, Blizzard has allowed to us to buy game time with gold! I for one have been waiting for this for a long time. Blizzard allows players to buy this token right from the character select screen if you have enough gold on one of your characters. This is of course dependent on supply and demand and therefore determines what the price of the token is.

But what if you have enough gold stashed away in your guild bank, but not on any of your characters? If you have access to your guild bank and the ability to withdraw the gold then using this method you can access your account and get the gold to buy a token! It's a pretty straightforward method. The goal is to get a 1 Day Credit on your game time. This method should work indefinitely as long as they continue to support the token!


I have used this method in the past to get onto my account for a day or so to take care of various things.

1) First step is to go online to Battle.net (I'm US so you'll have to go to your appropriate region's site) and log into the account you want to activate. Then here (Support Home > Contact Blizzard Support) This will give some drop down options. Click on Account Management. Then for the second drop down menu select "Not Listed Here" Then hit continue.





2) At the bottom of this page there will be options to Submit a Ticket, Phone Callback, or Live Chat. I used Live chat just because it was most convenient to me and there was a low wait time.





3) This will bring a new page to input a description of your problem. Here is where you will make your pitch to try and get a day of credit. This shouldn't be a problem if you sound convincing.

Once you submit your ticket then you wait for a response. When the representative responds, just make sure you're nice and courteous so they actually go through with it. If they do apply the credit you should be able to log in and go to your guild bank and get the necessary amount of gold to buy the token off the auction house.

I did this again on another account and I went with the suggestion of a few people in this thread and it worked just as easily. Here is the conversation between the rep and myself:

If you need a guide on how to buy the token on the auction house, WoWhead has a fairly descriptive one already.


That's pretty much it, I also wanted to list a couple resources that may help with not spending as much gold for a token as well. At the time of this post it looks like prices for the North American Realms have stabilized around ~25k gold, pretty cheap if you asked me.


Here area few websites that track and show the current prices for the various region's realms (could be useful for buying and selling tokens!):


https://wowtoken.info/ - You can set notifications on thresholds for prices at the bottom of the graphs.


WoW Token current price and history - World of Warcraft- This website will send an email for the thresholds as well, the option is in the top right corner of the page.


WoW Token Price and History Tracking- This website again allows you to see all the usual data, but also allows you to download the data sets for your personal usage.

There also seems to be an addon that will show you the prices and allows you to buy them without being at the auction house (I've not tested this one so I'm not sure if it works!) The two links are the same addon just to different sources.

Wouldn't just telling the truth have a greater chance of success? That you have cash stored in either assets or in the guild bank and you'd like a one day extension so you can withdraw gold/sell items and buy a token? Feels like telling the truth in this case would have a bigger chance of success then making a lie/story up

there's no need to make up a story. If you open a ticket and ask for the day of time to access gold and buy a token they will give it to you.
I did it recently on an old license of mine.

Had another account that I needed to open up to add people to a guild. I tried this again I said what others in this thread have said to try and it worked very easily. I updated the main post with the details.
