Efficient firelands trash farming

This video will show you how to make 2,000 vendor gold an hour or more from firelands 10man NORM without killing any bosses. It's not an incredible amount of gold, but it does have the advantage of avoiding the auction house for those times when you need the gold RIGHT NOW and can't risk waiting to sell something.

Main points: Don't go over norm, both Wowhead and my personal experience show either no drop rate increase, or an actual DECREASE on higher difficulties. It makes no sense, but it is what it is.

Don't kill any bosses. If you do, you can't reset the trash anymore since you'll be saved.

Be able to open lockboxes.

A vendor mount helps but is not required.

A range class is required for maximum efficiency, though melee can still do it, the turtles will probably be annoying.

Hmm. I guess it makes sense there would be. I posted this for humans though. I actually had to goggle honorbuddy lol. I'm sure it's common knowledge around here what that is.

FYI...I've already lost 2 account for farming Firelands trash...about 8-10 hrs a day with breaks every 3hrs. Farmed for about 10 days before the ban hammer hit.

The purpose of this guide was to provide players with a means of making some quick and fairly reliable gold. While anyone is free to use the information however they wish, I didn't write it with a bot in mind and I can't really comment on whatever those programs do or do not have in their profiles, or how efficient it is compared to the run I outlined.

With this kept in mind, even with manual play, if you overuse the farming for extensive amount of time, you can get suspended or banned, and from the past experience, the chances for GMs to actually check if you were manual or automated farming are very slim!

The problem from the above is that if you do it with automation, you are volatile for 3rd Party ban reason, but if you overuse it by hand, then they would ban you for Abuse of Economy.

It's not bannable if you do it without third party programs and just play the game as intended. If anyone who WASN'T botting was banned for this, the GM who issued it was way out of line and having it reversed should not be very difficult. I've never heard from a gm doing this or any other farming run, though I've never gone much longer than a couple hours at a stretch.

Keep in mind that if you have had any WoW bot program on your computer at all in the last year or so, you can be caught up in a ban wave long after you have ceased using the bot. If you were banned for botting, it isn't necessarily what you were doing right when the ban came down that triggered it.

Edit. this has no been borne out, as many were caught in the recent ban wave even though they hadn't botted in over a week.
