Pay less for playing in EU (7.15 EUR)

From today (8.10.14) you can play in EU realms with RU account. You can make new account by buying RU CD-key or (i'm not sure) If you go in your account settings and change your country to Russian, you'll be eligible for that price, even if you play on another EU language servers

Im sure you were able to have chars on Russian servers anyway via transferring them there. We used to do it to queue on the Russian RBG ladder by having the leader of the group being on a Russian realm.

It asks me to contact customer support to change country. Think they ask for proof that you live somewhere else now?

Yea, usually they do that kind of stuff, plus checking your IP country too.

    Anyone confirmed the OP?

i tried to change my country before, yes they need a valid ID that show your country, or a payment bill + they do check your IP and where did you logged in on your game from.
A common mistake is that you play wow from your country and 10 minutes later you use a vpn and ask them to change your country BUT not every gm/customer support is going to check your ip.

Yes and my reaction is that blizzard is crazy because russiand cdkeys cost shit so they will mass bot and ruin the whole market.

What if we make new Battle.net account, and register it to Russia on start. They dont ask for any ID.
Purpose of this account is to log on it, and gift gametime to your main account.
Think this is way easier than changing your main account.

Have you tried it already? Because they removed the gift button to RU accounts on 18th of October, as I heard.

Thats why the 30day codes on plati.ru gone to heaven!

Since AES deleted my topic as it is a repost (in his eyes) I will post my findings here:

Step 1: Go to Battle.net and register your new RUSSIAN account

Step 2: Get a russian proxy
Step 2.5: Set up the proxy in your browser

Step 3: Log into your russian battle.net account

    Step 4: Get a $6,50 BattleChest (EU) + 14 days from: http://www.g2a.com

Step $: Buy gametime and/or WoD

    Step 6: Profit.

    Price:
    BattleChest: €5,20
Regular WoD Price: €16,65 or Deluxe (90 boost) WoD Price: €27,78
    6 Months gametime: €33,24 (= €5,50 each month)
    = total:
    €66,22
for a fully upgraded 6 months playtime WoD account (with 90 boost)

I have yet to discover a "gift" function though
