Gold/Skyshard Farming for ranged dps.

Greetings ownedcore, I've done a few contributions in the past but not nearly enough. This is a guide on farming silvercarp in vale with potion of luck for treasure, and skyshards and while it's known (credit to those posts) I thought I'd share my individual method.

Go to 30.22,77.70 it's a lily pad and it's important to use this pad its just beside the 4 pads where the rare spawns.
Now you'll want to do this on a ranged class preferably I use hunter and lock.
Go to a site like lazy macros and get a macro for your class which will perform your rotation in just 1 button there are many.
Now put this macro to your bar and while on the one lily pad simply put something heavy on one of your arrow keys to spin while spamming the macro.
You will hit a fish while spinning so it gives it time to reach you for group looting and they die fast in good gear.
You can automate the macro clicking with a simple auto clicker + weight on arrow key but I do it manually and just set a stopwatch for 5 minutes and spam the macro while watching tv.

Results after 1 hour:
42 greens, 4 boe blues 3 skyshards, 31 treasure chests, 212g in gray vendor trash all while watching the walking dead pressing "1" on my keyboard.

Stand in the leaf (about middle). It doesn't require exalted with golden lotus.

Does not work anymore. Tried for 20 minutes, only got one treasure. They must have reduced drop rates. US- Area 52

This does still work. I consistently get 20-22 treasures per 20 minute potion.

Well, it dont work for me..
i cant find a one button macro that only has 255 characters as i only can have on wow's macros )
and isnt the respawn rate for the fishes low ?? O.o

Seriously? O.o 3 skyshard in one hour?

Working i got 2 shards in 40 mins + heaps of Treasure Chests and greens.

As for the person who couldn't get a macro beyond the character limit, you need the addon from curse called macro tool kit, you then go to macros, click tool kit make a new macro and click "extend" you now can do 1028 character macros from any site providing them. Also these fish basically instant respawn, I've sold 4 mounts on my server this week as people seem to think she will get removed lol While it won't with MOP zones going cross realm farming will be harder.

This has been nerfed in patch 6.0. The fish spawn frequently, but do not have a constant uptime. I had downtime for roughly a minute to two minutes just now trying to farm them. Possibly not the best place to farm but we will see after the uproar dies down from 6.0.
