Has anyone tried this as a Monk?
Has anyone tried this as a Monk?
So I see a lot of people saying they aren't able to do this as a dps warrior (or struggling). I have to say I just got done leveling 86-90 on my arms warrior and it was super easy. Here's a quick guide:
1. I leveled to 86 in the jade forest and visited the adventuring supplier guy. He will sell you a full set of 372 greens.
2. Go arms and pick up Bladestorm, impending victory, and mass spell reflect (although I think spell reflect works the same, but the rest suck anways for this so yeah).
3. Defensive Stance always. Pull with Heroic Throw and let them converge on you so they gather up a bit. Pop Beserker Rage and Battle Shout to generate some rage. Heroic leap into the grp, thunder clap (glyph is awesome here), mass spell reflect and spin to win with Bladestorm.
4. if possible, move away from the last couple and leave them at low hp. Charge in a collect some impending victory procs. It will really help with sustain.
The major caveat is that you have to wait 1 minute for your cooldowns, but with the respawn timers, it generally works out that you will still have to wait a couple seconds anyways. So you won't be losing any time except on the first clear. I needed food so I didnt die to poison from levels 86-87. 88 I rarely needed food and 89-90 I dont think I had to eat once with step #4.
Happy hunting

Nice guide for Timeless IslandThanks for taking your time making it + 5 rep
WTS gold on EU Auchindoun / Jaedenar / Dunemaul --> Alliance and Horde ! Very cheap !
For all the people that think it's impossible or hard as a rogue, you're completely wrong. I've done this ~ 1.5 month ago on my rogue and ofc the first few times I failed, but after I noticed the range from their Poison spit is really short it was really easy. All I did was spec assasination for extra poison damage, put on deadly poison and mind-numbing poison. Then I did 1 or 2 times Fan of knives at the laerve's (not right in the middle, then you will definitely get hit by the poison spit) and then I kited them a bit so they were close to each other, then stood just in the range to hit them with Fan of knives (which is also their poison spit range). Then do like 1-2 Fan of knive, run just out of range again, and if you have some Combo points you can do the Bleed aoe finisher, and just repeat that. I did this in bad gear (can't remember item level) at level 86-87 up till 90. Honestly your level doesn't really matter cause you can basically kill them with all of your hp left, since they start casting whenever you stay close and you've got enough time to run just out of range again. However, if you do get 10 stacks of poison spit this mostly means you're dead. I managed to get the 8000 agility buff sometimes which helped me a lot, deadly poison would crit for +-30k.
So as long as you make sure to get just out of range of poison spit, and do a few Fan of knives you can easily do this. I would love to make a video about it, but unfortunately I don't have an account with a rogue on it anymore atm.
anyone can help me to setup it with a rogue? ^^
Since my last post was kinda hard to understand, I decided to try to exlpain it with a screenshot. I don't have a rogue atm so it's the most I can do.
First off you spec into Assasination, because we will use the deadly poison dot to kill the laerve's. I also suggest using mind-numbing poison, this will give you some more time to get out of range for their venom spit.
Second, all you basically need is Fan of Knives (I'll refer to it as "FoK") and Crimson tempest (I'll refer to it as "CT").
First I'll explain it like this:
The main thing you need is knowing the range of the venom spit (which will kill you if you get hit by 10 laerve's). The range is about as big as the range your FoK and CT have.
So basically you need to run up to them, where you get into range to do a FoK at the 2-3 laerve's that's on the outside of the group of laerve's. As soon as you hit them they'll start casting venom spit. That's good, cause now you can run back for about 5-10 yards so they'll all follow you. You'll notice that whenever you get in a certain range (your FoK and CT range) they will immediately start casting venom spit. So once they all follow you, you get just in range that they will cast venom spit and you can do 1 or 2 FoK's and then immediately run out of their range. You just repeat this and when you have 5 combo points you can do a CT.
I'll also try to explain it with this screenshot:
You can see the laerve's are pretty stacked up, and I show the range of their venom spit (and your FoK/CT). The range is between the 2 yellow lines. Basically you want to stand on the yellow line which I drew on my character, and move to spot 1 to do 2 FoK's, then move to spot 2 and let them come close again, and repeat this. You should always use your CT when you're at 4-5 combo-points.
So if you do this right you can kill them without being hurt at all. Also try to get the item from rares that gives you +8000 agility since your deadly poison will do insane ticks! (30k crits~).
I hope this helped.
I edited my main post that has all classes tested.
Rogue IS a very viable option. I was wrong until I tested out all the specs. Read my main post for specific instructions.
fastest way as Mage - spec Arcane - get Chi-ji - Blizzard till they die
Tried it as Destru Lock, keep dying all the time without using defensive CD's, doing as gooeey said. Maybe I should get some new items or something to endure more.
I agree with Faustt, having a tough time with a destroy lock. Level 85 with all pandaria greens. Any suggestions?
Crystal of Insanity - Item - World of Warcraft All stats +500, can be used from lv.85 - you can get it from the crystals in "caven of lost spirit" on the iceland - after 2-3 clear of all crystal it could drop
