Transfer Heirlooms crossrealm (Tested) (Free)
Hey, so I can across this method by accident. I purchased a realm transfer, but didn't have enough funds in my bank account to pay for it. The character was transferred anyway and immediately I dropped off my heirlooms onto another character and logged out. The next day I was no able to play the character I had transferred, so I called them up and they told me I'd be transferred back to my original realm, and that I'd have to pay again when I had the funds in my bank. Logged on 10 minutes after the call and my character had been transferred back to my main realm.
tl;dr: transfer character with heirlooms while not having the appropriate funds in your bank account.

Theres a much easier and less risky way to do this. All you need to do is Have toon A. and Toon B. Toon A has all the BOA and toon B is on a diff server. Go to battle.net and put in a ticket say the toon names and servers they need to verify its you and they can transfer the boa gear. have had it done before

You can literally play for a day on another server make a ticket and tell them you transferred to the wrong server. They are usually ok with giving you a refund and transferring you back.

Tried This. Results I got...
"Hey there Cameltotum ,
Game Master Bulneclirra here and I hope this message finds you doing well.
I certainly understand wanting to send Bind on Account items cross servers to help lower lever toons you might have there. Many other players such as yourself request this as an option in game as well.
At this time, outside of a server transfer, there is no way to send Bind on Account items across different servers. The reasons are many but the basics are that it is not a function able to be in the game at this time because of the ways servers are set up. However a recent change was made where you could send BOA items to characters on the same server but across your Bnet accounts if you have more than one WoW account.
We are always watching and evaluating exactly how each part of the content and game work though. And we are always looking to polish and perfect everything we can.
Regards,
Game Master Bulneclirra

Tried this aswell got the following response.
Greetings Gila,
Thank you for contacting us regarding transferring heirloom items.
At this time heirloom items can only be mailed to characters on the same account and realm. However, a recent change that made these items "Bind to Battle.net Account" has slightly changed this. You are now able to mail these items to characters on the same realm which are on different accounts within the same Battle.net Account.
On a related note, our developers are actively looking into making it possible to send them across realms in the future. Currently this is not possible due to technical limitations of the in-game mail system.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Kind regards,
Kaylazeria

They will NEVER transfer it. I opened 3 tickets and they NEVER transfered it.
BUT, if you transfer your char on a new server, with heirlooms in his bags, and then ask GMs to transfer those items back to your old server, and you mention that you server-changed a few days ago, they will take them back to your old server.

Confirmed working.
Well, it's safe you assume the transferring of heirlooms would work, I didn't actually try that.
I used the same guide to instead transfer to a realm to buy items off their auction house which I'd been waiting to appear on my realm, bought the items and was transferred back to my original realm 2 days later.
Another idea I had which I didn't think to try until after I'd already been transferred back but someone else may wish to try;
- Remove funds from bank a/c
- Transfer char to another realm
- Create a new char on your original realm with the same name as the transferred char
- Wait for Blizzard to transfer your character back to your original realm for not paying
- Forced to rename your char as a character with that name already exists
- Voila! Free character name change ^^

How long did it take for the transfer to work? I just tried this and the character hasn't moved over. It's been about an hour now too.
On the transfer history on battle net it shows my transfer as "pending".
*edit*
Just looked again and now battle.net is saying "Finalize Payment".
Did I do something wrong? Don't really see how this can be screwed up :P
*edit2*
Ok just canceled and tried again, character moved over, but I can't log into it. It just says "You cannot log in until the character update process you recently initiated is complete"

Anyone got some help on this one? I could REALLY use this. I have the char on the other server, but it just says I can't log into it with this error, "You cannot log in until the character update process you recently initiated is complete".
Any help would be great. Info on how people got it working like:
What payment method did you use?
Did you try multiple payment methods?
Was there a certain order in doing things?
How long until the character was able to be logged into on the destination server?
Any of that info would be great. Thanks
