I didnt hear of any perms from this, (IM sure there are, but i havent heard nothing) and 4 of my accounts all got 72hrs, so I guess blizz didnt react so crazily like youve all speculated lol =D

If blizzard takes the same action they did a few months back during the inscription dupe, you can all kiss your accounts goodbye. There won't be any temp or 72 hour bans, it's insta perma ban per their new written policy when you dupe. Even a single dupe can cost you your account. Enjoy re rolling kiddos

It's always been like that with dupe exploits. You may still have a chance to get away with everything you looted or at least get your account back
now when you already used the dupe.

1. Dupe, dupe, dupe. Seriously, use it all the way until you stashed enough for yourself.

2. Get banned.
Yes, that's right. Blizzard will ban everyone with an active account once they're aware of the dupe.
Once you get banned, Blizzard can't ban you twice, since they don't check violations on already suspended accounts.
Of course, don't get a permanent one and you'll be fine. Gold buying and e-whoring ban lasts ~3 hours so you should be fine.

3. Once your ban is lifted and everyone else is raging and mourning for their accounts, you sell all your loot and enjoy.

I used this back in 2010 with the TCG exploit, and it actually worked. Just pray that Blizzard won't do a restart.

I don't have anything to do with the incoming ban hammer, but just wanted to say that 2 weeks ago I've bought a gamecard with gold, like I did for almost 3 years now and I got PERMA BANNED for it. Yep, permanently. They even said some crap like "as of right now we'll ignore every matter on this subject". Lucky with Fisher I managed to get unbanned. I guess it might have to do with the mood of the GM who's investigating your case, but if getting a short ban is your only way out, I'd try some Trade whoring or battleground bitching rather than gold-involved violations.
