Make consistent gold

I quit WoW a few months ago and decided It's time for me to give out "some" of my tricks on how to make decent and consistent gold without having to use any kind of bot & the risk of getting banned.

Here's 2 ways I have been using for over 3 years to make tons of gold. I have made over 2 billion gold using these 2 ways.

1) Arenas:

I have been using this method for the past 6 arena seasons to make consistent and decent gold with very little work.

First and foremost, this one requires someone to be fairly decent in arenas & requires you to have good pvp gear.

It works for most classes, but I find that it works best with warriors, simply because they are really good this season.

What you're going to do is sell conquest point cap in 2v2 arena!

If you're really into arenas and enjoy pvp'ing, then this is for you. Depending on your realm, each arena win can go anywhere from 150g to 400g. Capping someone's points usually takes 10 wins. With some math, this means you can get anywhere from 1500g to 4000g by doing what you enjoy doing the most!

Every 10 wins take around 35-40 minutes.

2) Farming:

I have also been using this method for a very long time. You're basically going to be farming 2 different items depending on the auction house prices.

First, Blood of the mountain. Drops from Molten Destroyers in Molten Core. What you will be doing is zone into Molten Core > kill all Molten Destroyers > zone out & reset. These usually go for about 600g to 1200g a piece.

This can yield up to 3000g / hour.

Second, Essence of Air. Drops from Dust Stormers in Silithus at the very north western corner of the map. Simply kill off any Dust Stormers you see. These usually go for about 100g to 200g a piece. They do have a higher drop chance than the Blood of the mountain.

This can yield up to 3000g / hour aswell.

People who buy these use them for low level enchanting for twink characters. Not many farm these mats that's why the price is really high and the demand is always there for it.

3) Buy & Sell:

This method is probably going to sound a bit wierd, but keep reading and you'll see it has the potential to be the best gold making method.

I have used this method for an entire year before i decided to quit WoW.

Basically what you're going to be doing is selling 60 day Gamecards to people on your server.

60 day Gamecards can be purchased through the Blizzstore for $30 each.

(No we won't be scamming or reversing credit card payments)

These days, a 60 day GC can goes for about 40k - 45k gold depending on your realm / faction. However, if you look closely at gold selling websites, the average gold amount you can get for $30 is about 20k - 23k gold.

So with some quick math, you should realize that there's an opportunity of making gold / $$$.

So if you're buying a 60 day GC for $30 and selling it to someone for let's say 40k gold, you're essentially making about 15k - 20k gold.

Here's how you should look at it:

- spend $30 to buy a GC

- gain 40k gold by selling the GC

- sell the gold you earned to get your $30 back & keep the extra gold (gold sells for about $1.1 / k ~ $1.2 / k), depending on your realm / faction

- profit: 15k - 20k gold, money spent: $0

- you can also sell the remaining gold to make $$$ profit

PS: The prices listed in this post are subject to change depending on your realm and faction. I based my prices on a medium populated server.

I don't know where your getting 1.1 - 1.2$ per k but I want some if its true. Mostly it's 0.4-0.7 where I've seen

how does one go about safely advertising gamecard sales?

I don't know where your getting 1.1 - 1.2$ per k but I want some if its true. Mostly it's 0.4-0.7 where I've seen

If you're selling your gold to a a gold selling website, then yeah they won't pay you over 0.7~ / k. If you're selling it as a private seller, you will get over $1 / k. Keep in mind, gold prices will always vary depending on your realm / faction, server, population, economy.

@TehVoyager: I personally started by selling GCs to my guildies and friends & having them refer people wanting to buy GCs to me. You can advertise it in trade chat and /yell but don't abuse it and spam all day long.

If you kill a boss in a raid you get saved, otherwise you don't. That farming method only requires you to kill Molten Destroyers which are trash mobs.

I've used this method for the past 2-3 years.
