Skyshard+Mote Of Harmony - Insane Farmspot (no downtime!)

Hello Ownedcore-Community!

Today I came across a very nice farm spot while doing dailys in the Valley Of Eternal Blossom that I want to share with you!

!!! This farmspot may do not work every day because of changing daily quests !!!

You have to kill these npc's, which are located in the Valley Of Eternal Blossoms in the Guo-Lai-Halls:

Only 393,941 health!! They die very fast

NPC: Stone Guardian - NPC - World of Warcraft

In the screenshot you can see two of them sitting next to some kind of altar. If you kill them, they are respawning INSTANT, which means no downtime at all. You can farm both mobs solo or in a group of two people, maybe you even can get there without being level 90 to farm additional xp. I recommend you farming this spot only with DD specc and heroic gear, because you will be able to kill this mobs way faster this way! This gives you even more profit because of instant respawn and no downtime.

LOOT:

I got there 2x Skyshard - Item - World of Warcraft in only 1 hour of farming. You can use 10 of them to create a Sky Crystal - Item - World of Warcraft to kill Alani - NPC - World of Warcraft , which is flying around in the Valley Of Eternal Blossoms, which furthermore dropps himself as a mount ( Reins of the Thundering Ruby Cloud Serpent - Item - World of Warcraft )
U can sell these by grouping up whit a possible buyer and let him roll for this item. The mount will sell for a extremely high price, because of the very low drop chance of the Skyshards! By using this farm spot u can get them very fast.

Also they do drop Ancient Guo-Lai Cache Key - Item - World of Warcraft , with these keys you can unlock the Ancient Guo-Lai Cache - Object - World of Warcraft which gives you gold and reputation items for the Golden Lotus faction. You will find this treasure chests by dying in front of the gates and then walking through them as a ghost

They also drop Mote of Harmony - Item - World of Warcraft , which you can use for your professions. I use them for Riddle of Steel - Spell - World of Warcraft , which gives me a high gold income by selling Living Steel - Item - World of Warcraft and their proccs with the transmutation specialization.
You can trade them also for profession items at Danky - NPC - World of Warcraft ! 3 Golden Lotus - Item - World of Warcraft (3*300g=900g on my server) for 1 Spirit of Harmony - Item - World of Warcraft

Grey stuff which sells for 5 gold per item and green items are also in the loot table.

WoW Head does also mention:
" After killing this NPC you will gain:

• 10 reputation with The Black Prince (stops at Honored) "

I did no questing for legendary faction at all, so I don't get any reputation yet. Use Battle Standard of Coordination from your guild to receive additional +15% reputation.


All in all this is a very nice farm spot which works fine for me ))

Agree, it has no downtime. But, it drops nothing but some grey claws, and it doesn't give you rep with Prince. So that's it.

I have no idea about the Prince faction and any possible prequests etc., I just read it on wow head, so I mentioned it in my guide.
There is no specific quest you need to kill them. But the mobs in the zone were changing from one day to the other as far as I noticed.

I use this spot primary for Skyshard farming to sell the mount in tradechannel. If you try to get them you will notice a very very low drop chance, this spot makes farming them a lot easier.
You can kill single target mobs very fast with no down time, you don't have to create a complex bot route or something like that. Just stand in one place and kill mobs very very fast

It sure is a nice spot. Just the mobs that spawn the 2 patrols and the 1 with his back against the wall are a killer for me for as a hunter. My bot always gets ganked when they all 4 on the pet or me. Did manage to get some keys for the cache from this spot. But going back to my old spot. Got a druid lvl85phased with me there receiving free exp and 3+Rep for the locations it sure is a nice one having a instant mob spawn. Blizzard sure failed with that one hehe

In my server, atm, there's not a single mob in Guo-Lai Halls. Hotfix, maybe?


EDIT: Apparently, when you complete the quest where you have to kill these guys, they phase out (@wowhead). Shit.

farmed for about 20-25 minutes and 2 DKs came and stole my spot (may transfer to pve server soon, hate these kind of things)

Would the mobs behind the middle locked gate work for this do you think? i've never seen dogs in the area described in the op. theres about 5 dogs behind that room (the floor where you walk on the red tiles)

are they the same mobs?

the benefits of using that spot (if it were to work) are:
1: the mobs, IIRC are always there (or were last night while both sets of gates were locked. Coming down the stairs Left and Center were locked, Right was open. Friendly rep with the GL)
2: because you are behind a locked door, the only competition you would have on these is from others dying and gate running for chests. and because they res up afterward at low HP (or if smart remove armor to not get repair bills) you could easily down any competition once you get in there.
