Found this on Youtube. Holy seems to be a very viable DPS spec for PvE and PvP



Glyph Harsh Words Word of Glory can be used in the DPS rotation along with Denounce and Holy Shock.

Of course many people knew this but I did not and thought I'd share. Credit to ZyAndDarksGamingexp for posting video and xSpooky for telling me about it in-game.

I've been trying it out on my holy pally for the last several days. Since the Arena Season is over I figured I might as well tinker with my PVP set for shockadin.

What I can say is that it's been a long time since I've had this much fun in WoW! One-on-One I am basically un-killable unless I go oom. I'm on a high population PvP server where it's 97% Horde, 3% Alliance, and i have the joy of being Alliance, so I don't even have to go hunting for Horde, I get attacked anytime I go to do dailies and it is so damn fun to watch their surprise when a Holy Pally kicks their ass

Here is what I did:

On reforging your spec priority is: Int > Haste > Crit > Spirit > Mastery

On glyphs (Major): Harsh Words, Holy Shock, and Denounce
(Minor do whatever you like)

Talents Take what you want until you get to the fifth tier, then make sure you take Sanctified Wrath (reduces the CD of Holy shock by 50%)

I didn't change any of my gems or enchants, because so far I'm so OP'd that I haven't felt the need.

Make sure to keep yourself beaconed and use Sacred Shield on yourself.

Your dps rotation becomes Holy Shock when up, Denounce, Denounce, Denounce, Word of Glory when you have 3 holy power.

Last night in a heroic ICC run, on Blood-Queen Lana'thel, I had the vampire buff and hit 56kdps while still doing 28k hps

This will be nerfed soon if it scales with MoP so enjoy it while you can.

Sad thing is, Holy shock has been hotfixed and nerfed to the ground. Which means it's no longer viable
It was fun for as long it lasted though.

Yeah just tested it, holy shock hits for ~15k now against lvl 85, and ~35k crits, so about half of what it was?

It is still a very powerful spec though, just did my dailys and got ambushed 3 times, each time came out on top. The fact that you can actually do dailys as holy spec now is amazing in and of itself, imho.

Yea I like the idea of holy being able to push out some damage. But TSG and other comps with holy paladin basically became 3dps+1 healer in wargames. At level 79 I did 65k crit with holy shock on lightweave embroidery procc(580 int). Now I do 13k. Denounce doing same damage I think?

UPDATE--- They nerfed it again Now my holy shocks hit only for 9-12k Denounce and WoG about the same. Damn them.
