Casino Guide 4.3

Hello again,
I am sure that there are alot more players out there than just me wanting to hold a casino right?
But sadly this is not allowed because of minors may be gambling etc.

But i've talked with a GM because i really want to host some sort of Casino.

the Game Master could not tell me how to get people gambling without being banned ofcourse,
But after along time he stated very often that:
"If you get REPORTED for the casino we have to take actions "


What i found out was that the only "legal" way i could hold a Gambling Contest:
#1 Guild Lottery
#2 Secret/Closed Casino where you know the players that is involved and you are sure nobody will report you.


What is this Casino might some ask.
So let me guide you through it quickly.
You have your stack of gold, lets say you have 10,000g
You invite people to join your group, this group will be called a "Table".
You tell people the rules(Simple rules ive used):

Odds:
1-60 = Loss
61-90 = Double(2x)
91-99 = Triple(3x)
100 = Quad(4x)

MaxBet(What people are maximum allowed to bet)
MinBet(What people are minimum allowed to bet)

Trade Gold to Table Host(You)

#5
Win/Lose

So lets make an Example:
A Player comes up to you and asks if theres a seat open, and there is so you invite him.
He Trades you 100g, rolls 43 and loses his gold.
Then he trades you 500g and rolls 85 then you pay him his own 500g and another 500g from your pocket.
This will encourage him to bet even more and hopefully lose more

IMPORTANT:
It's important that you dont set MaxBet so high that you can't payout the prize.
Like having 10,000g and having a MaxBet on 5,000g wont work if your using 4x Odds.
Because once he have placed his bet you will sit there with 15,000g and incase he rolls 100 your screwed.
Its common sense really, 5,000g x4 = 20,000g

But why bother holding a Casino?
Well it's a fun way to gather up people and a great way to earn/lose big bucks

I personally started with 50,000g and within 2 hours i was left with 97,318g
Profit?

Tips:
Using Macros will make this alot easier for you:
Macro for telling Rules/Odds etc.
Macro for Min/Max Bets.
Macro that says Good Luck! whenever a player places a bet.
And a macro that says You Lost!/You Won!

Hehe, i read your answer in two different ways so ill answer both,
this post is for people Hosting the casino, meaning if somebody is to run away with gold it will be you(But dont, scamming sux & you will just get reported)
second: yes i can understand that your afraid to lose your gold when people win your gold, but just make sure you have max/min bet you can afford to pay out a few times and you will most likely earn profit at last

You got 60% chance to win and 40% chance to lose, so in THEORY you should win 60 of 100 rolls ^_^

6 out of 10 rolls are a win for 1x the bet price
2.9x out of ten is a loss for 2x the bet price
,9 out of ten is a loss for 3x the bet price
.1 out of ten is a loss for 4x the bet price

if someone gambled with yuo and rolls 100 times, betting 100G each bet. this would be the outcome.

60 losses = You make 6000 gold profit (100g x 60)
29 Wins @ 2x profit = You Lose 5800 gold (100g x 29 x 2)
9 wins @ 3x Bet = You Lose 2700 gold loss (100g x 9 x 3)
1 win @ 4x bet = You Lose 400 gold loss (100g x 1 x 4)

in the end your Paying out 2900 gold more then you earned off of a gambler. - Change your odds dude

60 loses
30 wins @ 2x
9 wins @ 3x
1 win @ 4x

for a total of 3100gold but besides that you're correct

You're better off with something like:

1-60 Loss
61-75 Push
76-95 Win 1x
96-99 Win 2x
100 Win 3x

100 bets @ 100g each

60 Losses - 100g*60 = 6000
15 Pushes - 0g
20 Wins - (100g*1)*20 = 2000
5 Wins - (100g*2)*5 = 1000
1 Win - (100g*3)*1 = 300

6000-(0+2000+1000+300) = +2700g

That odds were just an example, and the reason i hosted my casino was for fun because i was thinking of quitting, so it was the most funny way i found to use my gold

But... nobody will bet 100g 100 times :P
People usually do 100g, 200g and lose, then think they have to make all that and profit back so they bet 1,000g or 2,000g and lose
And to do this you need to have odds that the players are satisifed with and makes them want to play

Well I would repped + responded, if this guide included the macroes needed to drift this type of service+ as mentioned the odds are strictly against us and any smart player would made use of that and made us lose gold on this:P

That's not true, running a casino isn't against the rules, only advertising one will get you banned.

It concerns me at your lack of knowledge on probability

Doesn't matter if one person doesn't bet 100 times... 100 different people could bet 1 time and the probability of you losing 'x' amount of gold due to the odds favoring the player nor the house will be the same.

As Emisary said, it's illegal to host any form for gambling on EU servers, but Us is a whole other story :P

As you people know i just made an example of odds, you can play with the odds all you want, but having like 1-90 = loss and 91-100 = 2x wont get people to play

I believe that this method doesn't save you from bans so I still wouldn't do this on European servers.

Well i said that its not 100% safe but without anybody reporting you they wont even know about your casino

Because no GMs are going into random persons chat logs and see whats happening if theres no reason to it, as a GM once stated: I'ts just a job
