As everyone can see on the auction house, green quality item sets that have a unique look are now selling for several hundred gold to even 10k+ (Glorious armor set). I tried my hand at farming mobs of the adequate level to drop the greens, and realized quickly that I was wasting my time. So I designed a better system for getting these items, that many people seem to overlook.

Step One: Go to the AH, search "Imperfect Draenethyst Fragment" Imperfect Draenethyst Fragment - Item - World of Warcraft

Step Two: Buy out any fragments under say, 15g. Most servers have them running from 5-20g due to leveling characters throwing them up there.

Step Three: Advertise bulk buying in trade, claim its for farming enchanting supplies or anything else you can think of.

Step Four: Turn them in to Kum'isha the Collector - NPC - World of Warcraft (Requires level 54+), you'll receive Kum'isha's Junk - Item - World of Warcraft

Step Five: Compare the greens you get to AH prices, advertise the greens in trade that are part of intricate or popular sets and disenchant others for overpriced lowbie enchanting mats.

Step Six: Consistently scan AH and advertise, farming the fragments is a possibility if AH is empty although the drop rates cause mining or herbing to be more money efficient.

Most of the xmog people know what they're looking for, so I don't think you'll be able to sell gear just by saying it's rare or 'intricate.'

I know that the Revenant plate pieces (contained in the bags) are desirable for xmog, not sure about the others.

I've actually completed my revenant(purple plate) set by doing this. I'm not trying to say just sell random things because they're cool. Look at step five, at least on my server there are over 15 different green quality matching sets in the item level range of the bags selling for hundreds of gold for one piece. I say popular for that exact reason, and the popular ones are usually intricate.
