getting the best out of your Razer nostromo n52(te)!

Hello Everyone, Anziel's here.

First off, i'm not trying to promote the n52te, my point is, to give you the best( in my opinion) way to set the pad.

Today ima show you how to get the most out of your Razer/belkin's n52te.

for those who don't know what the n52te is, keep reading.... for those who knows. go to Part One.

So basically what this is, it's a Bindpad, made for gaming, from which you've got 14 keys on the top, a Mousewheel, an Analog stick which can be taken off and replaced by 4 more buttons, a very comfortable feeling, and 3 different sets of keybind that you can Use.

I've been using this thing for 5 Years now, in the beginning Belkin made it. The n52, they later on released the n52TE, which has a Glow and is much more comfortable.
and now razer bought belkin's product, they changed the software to a different one and put a razer logo on the bottom.
i can play with my keyboard too, but it's not as effective and as fast as this pad can be.

I've tried many many times setting this pad for maximum efficiency in WoW ( Shooters have never be a problem)... but the max i could get was 14-20 keybind, which is... for those who PvP alot... Not nearly enough.
for months i've searched the best way to set this thing for WoW, never found anything.

Well now, the search is Over, i've finally got the best way to bind the Thing the best way you can, and here it goes.

First part

You'd want to bind it this way.

(note that this software is when the Pad was still with Belkin and Not Razer, Razer software is easy to setup and you can keep the same keybind as i do)



As i mentioned above, in the past, I could only get 14-20 keybind at max and it was not user-friendly at all.
This... is a way to get 40+ buttons, very User Friendly, and very very easy to remember. with just a little tweak, you'll see your gameplay increase by 200%

(this explains for itself, it's the keybind, but on the hardware and not the software)



lemme explain a little, by binding the pad this way, my thumb finger is able to reach SHIFT-CTRL-ALT without even moving, i can press CTRL-4 as fast as i can press ALT-8 or Shift-2... I can press up to 40 Keybinds with just a small movement from my finger. no need to be precise, it's right there, pressing 1 is as easy as pressing CTRL-1 as is pressing ALT-1.

Using this pad, it's given me way more Reflexes than any keyboard will ever give me.

Second part

The WoW UI isn't really set up for that kind of Pad, yes, i've tried it, multiple time, but the Best way i've found is just to Download Bartender4 and put the skillbar this way.

it doesn't take any more spaces than that, makes for a very Clean UI too.
the 2 bottom bars are some random skill bar, like... quest item, mount... ya know, things that you can use which doesn't require a high level of reflexes.

The bindpad is worth around 50-75$,is very comfy to play with, take about 2-3 days to get used to... but after it's done... you'll never go back to a keyboard.

This is my layout, and has been since the gamepad came out, with it I get 36 bindings and tab targeting.

I don't know how you were limited to 20 keybinds, to be honest.

What I did is keep a keyboard-similar setup on my N52, so that I could use what you bound as 7 for my Ctrl and your 5 for my Shift. What you bound as "=", I bound as Alt, and I have as many keybinds as you do. Moreso if you factor in bar switching [aka using 1 for both Arcane Shot and Tranq Shot].

One last tip from me, for all you may care : unbind your S, or if you keep it, don't use it to backpedal. Especially since you mention PvP. Remove it. Put an ability on there if it's not been done, and get an extra 4 keybindings and stop hamstring-ing yourself.
