Maelstrom Shatter into Heavenly Shard (Enchanters Only)

Hey guys! With 4.3, Maelstrom Shatter is now available ( Maelstrom Shatter - Spell - World of Warcraft ). Learn it at your enchanting trainer and use it to make gold. Atm 1 Heavenly Shard costs around 90g on my server and 1 Maelstrom Crystal costs 120g. Shattering a Maelstrom Crystal (120g/each) results into 2 x Heavenly Shards (90g/each), which is roughly a 60g profit for every shatter you do, so you can just go buy as many cheap Maelstrom Crystal you can get from the AH and shatter them then sell the Heavenly Shards as fast as you can, while the prices are still a bit skyrocketed by the new patch.

In case anyone doesn't understand this, he said Maelstrom Crystal twice. The 1st Maelstrom Crystal should say Heavenly Shard. + rep for this btw.

Thank you very much HeyaEveryone for both rep and the tip. I was really tired when I wrote this topic. I've edited it now and it should make sense!

Long story short:

1. Get 1 Maelstrom Crystal for 120 g;
2. Use Maelstrom Shatter and transform it into 2 x Heavenly Shard;
3. Sell them to AH for ~90g each!

180 - 120 = 60g profit for every shatter.

Unfortunately prices of heavenly shards will drop soon as this was posted in the patch notes.

id imagine its not even worth doing on most servers atm because maelstrom prices are up and shards are down

On my server, which is pretty high populated, it's still worth doing this, so that's why I've posted the tip here. Of course it's not worth being done on every server, but u might check yours, as it's a pretty good afk money making tip.

I'm doing this regularly at 30-60g profit per shatter, which is still pretty good for zero work. I'm on a pretty low-pop server.
