just an FYI - For those of you who keep saying "omg Ive deleted so many!" - I was able to petition GMs on 6 diff toons today and get over 45 deleted squashlings restored. Hope this helps.

I would petition a GM but I bot quite heavily so I don't want to risk it for ~20 pets.
I will just bot all of the pets back on another character ^^

I don't see how this is a bug or a glitch. MoP expansion has already announced to have the new companion pet "Pokemon esque" battles. This could just be the first pet that they are changing to be BOE for the future.

Anyway, like I said, even if blizz changes their mind and makes it BOP again, at least you tried. This could be a VERY good money maker in the future since you will likely have zero competition on your server, unless you have a lot of mmowned guys there lol

You're right though, will be interesting to see what ACTUALLY goes down when 4.3 goes live.

Actually I can confirm that even if you have learned the pet you can still collect them and they will still drop. I have 5 right now on my main, even after he has learned the first one. Also, in response to the guy who says he must've deleted 45 across 6 toons and the other guy calling BS on it, I think it's very believable. I mean, I swear, I too have deleted probably 8 or 9 on each of my toons so far. I have gotten many, and not just from HH, but also trick or treating. 45 is very doable across 6 toons.

Considering it is likely not a bug and is done on purpose do to the new companion pet battles in MoP, I find it unlikely they will "FIX IT." lol Also, no one knows when 4.3 goes live. Blizz always announces patches 2 weeks in advance but never sooner. My guess is they will release early December to try to pre-empt Star Wars MMO

Confirmed this, along with other world event pets, is going to be Bind on Use with 4.3 in the patch notes. Unfortunately, I was only able to save 1 pet

Yep, they're selling for 1k gold on my realm atm and there's only two other sellers.

Feline Familiar will probably be worth much more since a ton of people cbf'ed to get more than one Familiar during the event.
