I have some gold to spend. ATm about 800K gold so i would like to get staff for at least 2 of my casters ( epic 1st and then legendary ), but the question is, what i need to do to get that epic staff in order to make it/get it? Do raids or just some long quest?

A couple things... First, I call bullshit on anyone saying saronites were 5k or under at release of ICC, the complete lack of saronites at release virtually guarantees that the prices will be massively inflated. Every server has people with hundreds of thousands of gold and they will easily drop money to be able to quickly craft the new gear. This is especially for raiding dps'ers where the saronites from the guild are prioritize for tanks/healers. My server IS shit for economy but saronites weren't under 20k until after the first raid week.

Secondly, the ETERNAL embers is the first set of embers required for the quest chain. In other words, the ONLY people that will be capable of seeing any staff, full legendary of just partial, will be required to be raiding and receive all the embers from bosses. From my experience, getting the guild a legendary has always been a guild effort, so when the point in the chain is reached where living embers are needed, in almost every situation it will be guild provided. In other words, embers will have no value in regards to getting the legendary staff until most likely 4.3 when firelands can be pugged (and by then the value will probably be around 1kish gold each simply because people will still be interested in crafting the new gear in 4.2 for their alts etc).

The embers will have value though, since there is no way to flood the market with them at release. Hell, on cata release i was selling stacks of elementium for 1k on the 2nd night, and this was when 15 min in twilight highlands got you 5-6 stacks with the ridiculous respawn rate.
