Hello,

There are only two weeks left until the new patch will hit the servers and from my knowledge from there on it will take another ~20 days until the new recipes can be bought. Enough time for some last minute investments!

Since I couldn't find a thread with a specific list on what to buy I figured I could tell you my list of goods to stockpile.

As you may know, there will be many new recipes for Leatherworking, Blacksmithing and Tailoring. If you have characters with this professions, you should do the upcoming dailys every day. The recipes will available after quite a buch of dailys so you shouldn't miss out on that.

Also Jewelcrafter will get new recipes but they won't have to do dailys they just need to learn them.

You can either just buy the raw materials as cheap as possible and sell them for high profits or you craft the new items and sell them for even higher profit. I will give you my list of goods which includes almost everything that the recipes need. Raid your AH!

Volatile Earth
Volatile Water
Volatile Fire
Volatile Air

Elementium Ore
or
Hardened Elementium Bar

Inferno Ruby These willl skyrocket!
You can also buy a few from all the other gems as they will be needed as well but not as much as the Inferno Ruby since it is not only needed for crafting but also a lot of players will get new gear and therefor need to fill their sockets

Pristine Hide
and/or
Heavy Savage Leather which can be converted into the hides.
EVERY tank will need at least one of the new leg enchant and therefor needs one
Pristine Hide, so there is a lot of potential here since its also needed for every one of the Leatherworking recipes.

Last, but not least:

Truegold
There are SO many promising Blacksmith items that will need it! This will be HUGE!

So, now that you have a list of the materials but you should not just run straight into your AH and buy everything. Watch the prices for a few days so that you get a feeling of what is expensive and what cheap. Then set yourself a maximum price for the selected good and buy everything below it. You have still a few weeks to get a nice, big heap of cheap goods so be patient!

If you want to invest even more, you can start to buy cheap enchanting materials. Every raider will get a lot of new items and needs either the enchanting scrolls or the raw materials. Same goes for flasks and the materials for fish feasts as more people will go raiding again and eventually wipe
Here is a nice list that shows the recipes for each profession if you just want to buy for a certain one.

All good tips,but as for the JC thing as far as I know there hasnt been anything saying we will be getting new recipes. If I missed something can you provide a link to something?

As I mentioned earlier this week, the late PTR build on wednesday means we won't see the patch next week, but the week after. The official site points to a release date on June 28th.

i got my hopes up for all the blacksmith mats - such as all volatiles - truegold etc. Full bank + guild bank (6tabs) + my bags. should land me a nice profit....i hope xD

I don't know the server you are on, you should watch the market for a few days. If you are unsure just pick yourself one or two goods and stick to them. But again, watch your market. Don't overstock and don't buy expensive. Guaranteed profit will be investing in Elementium Ore to convert them to Hardened Elementium Bar or just buying Hardened Elementium Bars if you can get them cheap. Also, Truegold WILL rise in price.
For the rest I can only tell you again to watch your market and the economy.
Another tip, but entirely server dependant: Belt Buckles. As many people will get new belts, they need the buckles so if you can craft or buy them cheap, you could invest a little bit in them, too

Most people will be replacing their gear with the new gear from profs + firelands and since Inferno Rubys are the most wanted gems...

The ratio of Gem demands should stay the same. Just an overall demand for ALL gems will go up. However, Red gems are the MOST USED because they add to Primary stats, and therefore be the best investment.

Other Gems add to Secondary stats. And as we get higher lvl gear, secondary stats should be getting close to where they need to be and the best dps increase will be with Primary stats (Red Gems)
