Full Info US Account (3+70's) for some battle.net account help
I am giving away a full info us account with 3 level 70+ to anyone that can help me with a problem.

I can login to any world of warcraft eu/usa account fine but if I try to login to world of warcraft with an account that merged with battle.net I get the "unable to validate game version" error. This ONLY happens with battle.net accounts, all other usa wow accounts are fine.

2 Methods to solve.. 1 short.. and if that doesn't work the long one:

    1. Navigate to Macintosh HD/Users/Shared and delete the Blizzard folder. Then, launch WoW and let me know if that fixes the issue.

    or..

    2. Do this:

Please use the steps below to repair file permission settings on the hard drive you have installed World of Warcraft.
1.) Click on the Finder icon in the Dock
    2.) Open the Applications folder
    3.) Open the Utilities folder
4.) Double click on the Disk Utility application icon
5.) Select the hard drive the game is installed on
6.) Select the First Aid option
7.) Click on the Repair Disk Permissions button

    Repair Directory Procedure:
    1. (Re) start the computer
    2. Right after the computer starts press Cmd (Apple) +s until you get a black screen with white type
    3. Let go of the keys when this screen comes up
    4. At the cursor please type the following: fsck -f -y and press return
    5. Please be aware that some of the procedures will look like they are frozen, but are actually taking a long time i.e. checking hierarchy
    6. If anything had to be repaired, repeat step 4
    7. Once things are repaired type exit and press return
    8. Computer will boot into Mac OS

I would also recommend running the Apple Hardware Test. You can access this by rebooting your computer without any discs in the drive and holding "D" when the screen goes black. This is particular to the Intel-based Macs.
If you don't have an Intel-based Mac, you will need to have the original disc your computer was shipped with in the drive. Hold down the "Option" key while rebooting to get into the Startup Manager and choose the Apple Hardware Test from the choices.
I'd recommend an extended test of all hardware, looping if that's possible. That will let us know for sure if there are any hardware problems. If it reports any hardware issues, you'll want to contact a local Apple Service Provider to address those.
In order to remove World of Warcraft safely from your system, you will need to:
    1. Go to your Mac HD/Applications folder and move your World of Warcraft to the Trash
    2. Go to your Mac HD/Users/Shared folder and move the Blizzard folder to the Trash
    3. Go to your Mac HD/Users/your account/Library/Preferences and delete any files associated with WOW:
(You might not have all of these files since I'm running a lot more versions of WOW)
    - com.blizzard.downloader.plist
    - com.blizzard.Downloader.prefs
    - com.blizzard.errorreporter.plist
    - com.blizzard.Installer.plist
    - com.blizzard.launcher.plist
    - Com.blizzard.World of Warcraft.prefs
    - com.blizzard.World of Warcraft.survey.prefs

    4. Empty Trash
    5. Install World of Warcraft, then download and install the patches.

This is taken from the wow forums...

World of Warcraft - English (NA) Forums -> Unable to validate game version

    another useful thread:

World of Warcraft (en) Forums -> ____- Unable to Validate Game Version

    Hope that helped

The only problem I that is for mac... I suggest reinstallig wow, if u have the time. You can also go into ur wow folder and look for a app called "repair" it shows a wrench inside if a circle. I am currently on a trip and I am not able to play around with it, but run that thing, it goes through ur wow stuff and makes see that everything is working and there.

I'm not on a mac so what you posted doesn't apply to me buahbleah

I have ran the blizzard repair tool and that didn't make any difference.

    Any other suggestions?

    Did you try this?
World of Warcraft (en) Forums -> ____- Unable to Validate Game Version

    Namely,

Creating a New Windows User Account

    Create a New Administrator account:
Go to Control Panel and then User Accounts
Make a new Administrator Account with a simple name such as "wow"
Once it is created, click on the icon for it in User Accounts and Choose to create a password, again choose something simple like 1 letter.

Now you can launch the game as follows:

Right click on your WoW icon.
    Select "Run As..."
    Select "The following user:"
    Select your new account
    Type in the password
    Click Ok.

If you get an error message when doing this that says "The Directory is Invalid", you will need to log out from your current windows account and into the new account, and then use the Run As command as a above again, still choosing your new account.

    or this

Launching two copies of the game

If the above does not work for you, some players have reported that launching the game twice has resolved the problem.
    Start the game as normal
when you reach the login screen, press Alt+Tab to return to Windows
Launch the game again and log in.

Neither of those methods work camicio and I have exactly the same problem on my spare computer so it's not a virus/trojan.

Try to reset your battle.net accounts password. Or Run WoW as Administrator.

You can try to delete your Cache folder located in the main world of warcraft folder that may fix it

if you have the EU version installed change ONLY:
    set realmlist eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
    to
    set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com

    nothing else.

the patchlist thingy should stay the same.

I had exactly the same problem today/yesterday

I firt had the "unable to verify game version" Error but after I ONLY changed the realmlist part in the realmlist.wtf the error went away and i got stuck with the "Connecting" Message.
Which you propably get when you add an scammed Account and the owner of the account didnt klick the verify email send out to verify the account merge(to the email address of the Acc owner).

    That what happend to me

found this on the forums posted by a Blue
    1. Change the password on your account at www.blizzard.com/account
    2. Login using the current login name (e.g. [email protected]), but try using previous password.
