Not to add that most progressing guilds (like mine) have a stock of raw mats such as gems so I doubt the prices will "skyrocket" at all.

The ratio of Gem demands should stay the same. Just an overall demand for ALL gems will go up. However, Red gems are the MOST USED because they add to Primary stats, and therefore be the best investment.

Other Gems add to Secondary stats. And as we get higher lvl gear, secondary stats should be getting close to where they need to be and the best dps increase will be with Primary stats (Red Gems)

tanks don't use red gems(other than the random ****ing loldruid tank), they use yellow so with tanks getting more gear the higher mastery gems will be on demand.
