    Priest - Easy leveling 31+

Basicly something we found out entertaining with a friend and so far it has been great success on my Priest upto lvl 73 at the moment.

Basicly you will need this spec if you are lvl 31: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft after that it is upto you where you spend your points at.
More talents worth it taking later on:
    - Power Infusion (More haste, more damage!)
    - Inner Focus (Free cast every 45 seconds)
    - Borrowed Time / Rapture / Reflective Shield (These will make your Power Word: Shield your most efficient "heal" basicly, you wont lose any mana from using it so use it to migitate that extra damage if somehow you cant heal it by spamming Smite)
    - Divine Aegis (Shields on critical hits)
    - Pain Suppression (Great damage migitation)

The key talent points in this case are 2/2 Atonement which makes your Holy Fire (including the dot) and Smite heal the lowest health party member for 100% of the damage they deal.
Also you will want to pick up the glyph Divine Accuracy for automatic hit cap for both these spells.

Later on you will want to pick up Divine Aegis because the heals are always critical when your spells are thus making this talent very useful.

This makes it EXTREMELY easy & fast to level up in instances. You cant basicly oom with Holy Fire/Smite spam + it heals way more than any encounter has dealt damage so far upto lvl 73.
(Smite heals for more than Heal + costs almost the same mana)

Have fun leveling, atleast we are having loads of fun like this

Dont know how long this lasts but I reckon it is good for anything before the Cata dungeons atleast!

    EDIT:

Macros to make things a bit "easier":
    Code:
    #showtooltip Smite
    /cast [harm, target=target] Smite
    /cast [harm, target=targettarget] Smite
    Code:
    #showtooltip Holy Fire
    /cast [harm, target=target] Holy Fire
    /cast [harm, target=targettarget] Holy Fire
That way you can basicly keep the tank as target and DPS whatever he is DPSing!

Credits to Nulacz for thinking of this

Eh, don't see the guide in this tbh, atonement spec has been in the game for a long time now, and it was even necessary to heal with it in some encounters in raids... And yes, you can heal up to 85 with shields and atonement.

And this is the reason i leveled another priest, doing it as a healer up until 74 was amazing, i out dps'd all dps in generally every instance (besides mages, let's face it - they're broken). Great job bringing it to more people attention

    This is a guide indeed.
Some good info for any new priests out there. Nice way to make dungeon healing enjoyable with some dps meter topping

Never played a Priest so wouldnt know, just found out about this when fooling around and testing stuff. Definitely makes leveling up more fun than usually.

Holy Fire on every CD and then Smite. If the DPS are competant you wont top the meters BUT I was never far behind. On boss fights if you pop Power Infusion + Herbalism haste buff you can top the DPS if the fight is not too long
But the point really was that you can be a DPS while actually healing.

It is very possible, people tend to not know what they are doing when they are leveling so it is very common for me to out-dps atleast one of the DPS while doing this.
Heck, one run we had tank as #1 DPS and me as #2 for the whole run, was pretty hilarious :P

Some classes have a pretty high ramp up time and disc priest have a steady burst so you can easily beat shadow priests, locks and heck even rage starved warriors at lower levels. I made a new priest yesterday after reading this guide because it reminded me of how fun it was healing through dpsing (as most of you know, low level healing is mind numbingly boring especiallly when tanks are covered in BoAs >.<). Met another disc priest in the dungeon (who queued as dps!) and both of us were topping the dps meters. The pally tank even respecced to retribution spec because he virtually didn't take any damage so the runs were really fast. I assume the other disc priest whose name I forgot also got reminded about it from this guide, if so, hi there!
