Glad I could help =) I prefer skada over recount because I was able to off "Omen" in the process. It was a nice little bonus... that and it's prettier =p

To minimize memory usage, you can opt out of tracking certain things (in the add on menu/char screen) that aren't quite as necessary in Skada, such as: Absorbs, CC, Damage Taken, Debuffs uptime, enemies, failbot, and power -- this leaves you with the bare minimum like damage, dispells, healing and threat. I'm usually on a dps char so some of the tracking options just aren't that important when I'm running dungeons.
