Get what you want in WoW

Let me just start off by saying sorry my grammar or spelling may not be the best as English is my 3rd language even though I have lived in the US for 5 years now.

Gold
So lets start with the most popular drive or solution to getting what you want in the game... Gold. I check mmowned at very least once a week and there are always new ways to get gold different guides places to farm etc. But if you break it all down two ways are proved to have worked since vanilla wow and they are farming / playing the AH.

Farming may sound simple enough however there is a bit of skill or common sense however you would like to look at it involved. First of you can be assured that whatever the current highest level of herbs and ore will be farmed so be ready to compete if thats what you decide to go after. Often enough on most of the servers I play lower level ore/herbs fetch as much if not more. Check your auctioneer see where you can make the gold.

If you want to get a little more serious make a toon that is both mining / herbalism. If you really want to make gold get a bot that you like and have an understanding of. I was a pirox contributor for years won competitions etc however I found free products on mmowned that were better and didnt have the hassle.

Once you have what you are farming how do you get rid of it? Auction house or trade? Well if you self farmed everything use auctioneer. If you can sell to a player for 500g or wait a day on the AH to get 650g sell on the AH. If you used a bot to farm use trade chat. I see people in trade chat all the time "WTS 40 stacks of pyrite pst" dont be that guy its gonna give you away. Think about it be smart instead of selling 40 at once sell in groups of 6 "wts 6 stacks of pyrite pst". You just have to keep track of the people who pm you. Whatever you do dont continuously flood the AH.

Playing the AH you have a couple options the easiest is simple resale. Scan the AH set your minimum you want to make per auction and discount I use 20g and 20%. Pay attention to what you are bidding on if you see 700 glyphs of death strike dont buy them. If you see lots of ore or herbs blues etc you can generally be assured they will sell. Look at the guides here on mmowned that use the AH or auctioneer they are usually VERY good and go into much more detail than I could. Within 2-3 weeks starting off if you only make 10k gold you need to refine your tactics and read more.

Be a raider
I see it all the time on my main account that people want to get into raiding but dont know wtf they are doing. First things first is go to elitistjerks.com read up on your class and the different builds that are raid viable. You have to understand the class what you do and why you do it. I love to play beast mastery hunter however its very rarely through the year been top dps for a hunter.

Bring something to the raid. If you are trying to get into a guild that raids offer something that you can either buy for gold or another profession. Pots / flasks / gems / inscript / herbs / food / ore / etc. Learn the fights YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. look up the fights watch them with different strategies.

Make sure your gear/skill is on par with what it needs to be. What I mean by that is if you are a tank make sure you are capable gear / skill wise of tanking same if you are a dps or a healer dont embarrass yourself. Buy crafted pieces when you can. There is no reason to not have the best crafted gear if your intention is to raid. No gold to buy gear/gems/chants etc? Read above on gold.

Gladiator
Ok in my opinion pvp is the hardest part of WoW and its generally what keeps me playing. You not only have to understand your class but every class you will play against and playing with. Use arenajunkies like a bible plain and simple they are chock full O gladiators. Pay attention to how they gear and why. Farming an honor set is gonna take 1 of 2 things. 1. Time its good for you to spend that time in BGs learning to play against the other classes. 2. A bot that does bgs. If you choose to go with a bot you should know how to play your class already because you are losing out on pvp experience.

Partners for arena / rated bgs. Here is where it gets interesting and again reference arenajunkies. Talk to potential partners about their class ask them questions from your reading on arena junkies if they answer wrong ask them why they do it differently you should be able to separate the mo mos out. Check their gear gems res enchants make sure it looks right. If you dont understand classes enough to check if they are geared/gemmed/enchanted properly how will you beat them?

Using mmowned
First things first is understand the community. Its set up as a hierarchy so dont piss off the people who are higher than you. Read the rules for each sections. I know you want to ask stupid questions or find sneaky ways to get into VIP but you need to understand the mods and users dont like it and it will lead to a bad experience for you. If you can follow the rules this place is a GREAT resource for everything to do with WoW. If the answer isnt here theres a post pointing you to it.

Learn to search. There is a search function type in what you want to find. I have a low post count having been here for a while and thats for 2 reasons. 1. Generally I find what im looking for via search so there isnt a reason for me to ask a question. 2. Most of the big time contributors are smarter/faster than me so my 2 cents are rarely required you too should generally understand that. But by all means to be afraid to contribute to a conversation or post something if you think it will help.

If anything ive said here is helpful to you read more of mmowned. This post is a fart in the wind on all the topics ive mentioned. Every single thing ive posted here you can find great in depth guides on especially gold farming and using the AH.

Misc
I know nothing I posted here is "new" information and it wasnt new when people posted it the last 4 years. The idea behind this is to give the newer group of people an idea of what they are gonna have to do to get what they want out of the game and give them some resources to do it. Every single thing ive posted here is made available here or somewhere else. Enjoy the game and enjoy this site there arnt too many like it.

This is all pretty much common sense, might be good for someone that is fresh to wow but yeah.. In my opinion that was all just common sense, if you really want +rep that bad, go deeper into the pvp aspect for example, I mean just writing that you should know your own class and everybody elses class is kinda obvious. No +rep here.

Sadly this is NOT common sense for every player. I play on 2 realms mainly in large guilds and I wish this was but its not. People sometimes arnt always as good at searching or whatever. I play with a nice guy in his 60s who plays the game to spend some time across the country with his grand kids he doesnt know a whole lot. And as far as me giving a class guide whats the point? Is anyone that comes here on mmowned as good as the guys on elitist jerks or arena junkies? Just easier for me to link the website but im not here for rep I just hope it opens some doors for people.

All this "common sense" crap needs to stop. There is no such thing as common sense for everyone. Some players are more skilled than others (some are complete dee dee dees), it doesn't matter. You people really need to stop that crap its just annoying. It's common sense to me but I'm positive there is at least 1 other person that will learn something from this and if he helped 1 person thats more than you people spamming "common sense".
