[Theory] Safe Valor Points for the next Arena season

I recently read that

Conquest is now purchasable from the Valor vendor at 250 Conquest per 250 Valor.

on MMO-Champ in patch 4.1.

Blizz will probably reset all the Conquest Points you own at the end of the season 9, as they did in every season before. But they never resetted "PvE-Points" like Emblems or whatever in wotlk.

So the idea is, if blizz doesn't reset the Valor Points at the end of the season, you'll be able to change all you Valor points into Conquest Points and buy stuff on the first day of the next arena season :O

They do reset the points in PvE as well.

In 4.2 (which will be the new arena season), all valor points will be becoming Justice points, and all gear costing Valor Points right now will cost justice.

I like the idea, but most likely the valor points will get replaced in 4.2 or even earlier. Rumors are that this season will end when patch .2 goes live. I dont think PvE nor PvP currencies will have their same value after that patch. Besides, conquest points dont get removed. They will most likely be turned into honor points.

So, in short:
Valor points will be just as outdated when the next season starts as that the conquest points are that you have right now.

was this a bluepost? never read something like this. it is possible that blizz implements "new" points that replace the valor points, and if they do this you could still change the valor points into conquest points (just a thought )

As mentioned before, both the new raiding Tier and the new arena-season will release in 4.2, YES this has been announced in blueposts. Yes it is possible that blizzard implements a new kind of points, as they did with emblems in wotlk, but if they do they will not let you trade valor points for conquest points, as the requirement for it will be the new kind of PvE-points.

Blizz might not be the smartest, they are not that stupid either matey, endgame tier of points, wether pve or pvp, is only interchangable with eachother or downgradable.

blizzard said that there would only be 2 kinds of currencies so no they will not make up new points. everything that currently costs valor will cost justice and the new gear will then be the valor gear. hence why they reset it. or, dont reset.. but change your valor to justice.

items bought with conquest/valor points will be sold for honor/justice points in 4.2 thus meaning the refund would be honor/justice points and not the valor/conquest

There's still going to be a conquest cap that you can't go over, so even if what you say is true, you're wanting to spend valor points on conq which is capped via 5 wins, or the new pve gear which just isn't very efficient.

Note:There's no benefit to hoarding large amounts of Conquest Points since they'll be converted into Honor (or Justice Points, for Valor) when the next tier of items becomes available
