You can also use stuff like the Festive Holiday Mount, these last 1 hour and can useally be bought cheap at the AH, I also use the Weighted-Jack-'O-Lanterns. I don't have any evidence that this really helps, but me personnaly, wouldn't report somebody who is flying around all the time while he has those items on.

If you're afraid of getting banned, don't bot, and seriously, if you want to try bot more "safe" then its incredibly obvious, and you i dont know how this is a guide, or helping people honestly, it's really common sense.

The best tip for NOT getting banned while botting is using a VPN.

If they ban you, you have a IP adress, from let's say, Taiwan.

After you get banned, you mail Blizzard and sais that you got hacked, easy.

There was few similar topics, but ill add here some of mine " Extremely safe botting rules", you will all find it useful if you are botters and care about not getting baned.



1. Always make your own waypoints . Using public ones its just stupid. If you are using public ones, sooner or later you will see someone with identical waypoints as you, if he will notice that, he may report you.

2. Allways make as many waypoints as you can. Bot will move smoother, and you will avoid running on threes/rocks/walls etc. If you think "its to much job", than think how much job is to get back your banned account.

3. Never leave bot running when you are not around of your computer. That means never go to sleep/ walk your dog etc. If GM approach you, and you will not answer him in few minutes, he will probably ban you, keep that on your mind. Also if you don't reply a player, he will probably report you. Instead of night running bot, just watch some tv, do your homework or something like that.

4. Dont ruin economy on your realm. If you farming mats, never put them on ah with low prices, always try to sell for highest price is possible. If you'll put tone of ores/herbs on ah for low prices, you will get reported by many ppl, and you know what? you deserve it.
Instead of make tone auctions with your mats, you can make some professions on your alts, to make something from them. For example you can get inscription and sell decks - you will put half of your mats as herbs, and make decks from second half. Result? you will get even more money and lower your chances of ban (also dont sell them for low prices, just to sell them fast).

5. Never bot more than 8 h per day . Some ppl will tel you, that they botting 12 h and not get banned, and 10 is safe. Its not true, its all abaut the luck, if you are not lucky, get few reports, even 8 can get you banned, keep that on your mind.

6. Stop your bot every 3h for 5-10 minutes . No one will belive, that you was playing with no food/bio stop for 8 h.

7. Always have a guild, thats very important. Now on cata you need to be stupid if you dont wanna guild perks, so if someone see you farming/lvling without guild, he may noticed that something is wrong.

8. Make one quest/random per lvl. Its not gonna cost you much time, but can save a lot of troubles in case of account investigation.

9. Dont sell gold at the same week you are botting . Its like putting second gun to your head - double chance to pull the trigger.

Remember that does tips are not useful against warden, and you still can get baned. As always - Bot at your own risk.

If i'm not wrong, GM never approach anymore, they will just ban!~

I always bot when I am sleeping, working, going out etc.

I've seen bots run for 200 hours straight, no ban...

Blizzard doesn't actually care if people bot, they care if you XYZ hack, or use other hacks which give you an unfair advantage, a bot does not give you an unfair advantage. The only people I know of being banned for botting, are those that exploit the economy (drastically undercut, sell gold, etc.)

And no, this isn't true, Blizzard in theory can ban you for anything (you are leasing their game, you don't own it), but to prevent lawsuits they can only ban with evidence (if warden searches for a string, and the bot is detected). A gm has no power to ban anyone.

Probably an obvious one, but thats a complete fake. It does not matter at all how long do you bot every day, there are hundreds of people botting 24/7 for months (including me) and none of us never got banned for that. An exception is a ban wave, but that doesnt happen for a long time - maybe its something worth taking under consideration.

This is one of the most epic failures I have ever seen posted in a botting thread....

The OP has posted some tips that if followed can GREATLY decrease your chances of getting banned...
I didnt see anywhere in his post where it says anything like "botting 24 hours a day will get you banned for sure"... did you?
He simply stated that if you keep your bot time under 8 hours per day you can bot fairly "casually" and not have to worry about a ban nearly as much as if you were botting constantly.

It is also common knowledge that blizzard watches for accounts that are logged in for more than a certain amount of hours per day (nobody is positive what that number is.. but research has shown its around 20)... there has acctually been reports indicating that botting more than 20 hours per day can increase your chances of a ban by as much as 70%.

so for you to come barging into a thread and make a ridikulous claim that botting 24 hours per day is just as safe as botting 8 hours per day is a bit ludacris.

It also causes a great deal of risk being detected for the simple fact that your likely to be the only person selling mass amounts of mats on the auction house.... combine that with the fact that there is nobody there to buy said mats, and I will stick to my medium pop server for botting.

I was just reading your blog and it kinda sparked an idea for a guide of my own so it was only fair to give you the credit for the inspiration. I think most of your tips are very viable for a casual botter
