10 tips how to not get baned - Extremely safe botting

There was few similar topics, but ill add here some of mine " Extremely safe botting rules", you will all find it useful if you are botters and care about not getting baned.



1. Always make your own waypoints . Using public ones its just stupid. If you are using public ones, sooner or later you will see someone with identical waypoints as you, if he will notice that, he may report you.

2. Allways make as many waypoints as you can. Bot will move smoother, and you will avoid running on threes/rocks/walls etc. If you think "its to much job", than think how much job is to get back your banned account.

3. Never leave bot running when you are not around of your computer. That means never go to sleep/ walk your dog etc. If GM approach you, and you will not answer him in few minutes, he will probably ban you, keep that on your mind. Also if you don't reply a player, he will probably report you. Instead of night running bot, just watch some tv, do your homework or something like that.

4. Dont ruin economy on your realm. If you farming mats, never put them on ah with low prices, always try to sell for highest price is possible. If you'll put tone of ores/herbs on ah for low prices, you will get reported by many ppl, and you know what? you deserve it.
Instead of make tone auctions with your mats, you can make some professions on your alts, to make something from them. For example you can get inscription and sell decks - you will put half of your mats as herbs, and make decks from second half. Result? you will get even more money and lower your chances of ban (also dont sell them for low prices, just to sell them fast).

5. Never bot more than 8 h per day . Some ppl will tel you, that they botting 12 h and not get banned, and 10 is safe. Its not true, its all abaut the luck, if you are not lucky, get few reports, even 8 can get you banned, keep that on your mind.

6. Stop your bot every 3h for 5-10 minutes . No one will belive, that you was playing with no food/bio stop for 8 h.

7. Always have a guild, thats very important. Now on cata you need to be stupid if you dont wanna guild perks, so if someone see you farming/lvling without guild, he may noticed that something is wrong.

8. Make one quest/random per lvl. Its not gonna cost you much time, but can save a lot of troubles in case of account investigation.

9. Dont sell gold at the same week you are botting . Its like putting second gun to your head - double chance to pull the trigger.

10. Even if you make some professions, and collect different goods to sell on ah, don't do that from one char. Best way is to make ah from char witch created does goods. Just think about that, how its gonna look if you will create Deck, flask's, herbs, ores, plates auctions from char with minning/herb when someone check you on armory?

Remember that does tips are not useful against warden, and you still can get baned. As always - Bot at your own risk.

Your can't bot "safe", your precautions only protects the botter against player reports, not warden.

Yea I bot when Im not around but I have been contacted by a GM a few times (guild had to be renamed/toon on the account had to be renamed)

^This - I primarily bot so that I don't have to spend so much time to keep up all my professions and gear. Many nights of inebriation have been possible due to botting.

Probably an obvious one, but thats a complete fake. It does not matter at all how long do you bot every day, there are hundreds of people botting 24/7 for months (including me) and none of us never got banned for that. An exception is a ban wave, but that doesnt happen for a long time - maybe its something worth taking under consideration.

I usually don't answering dumb post's but ill make an exception - As you may noticed, does are tips preventing you mostly from getting reported, think, think hard... now you should already know the answer... i assume you probably don't, so ill continue - when someone "target" you as a botter (that means he will think you may be the one), cause of your acting, not anserwing, way the bot aproach on nodes etc. Than, if you will piss him of by various auctions of yours, and all night node steeling from him, he will not only report you, but may even tell hes guildies to check on you and do the same. Thats the way its role, and I'm cool with that, less dumb botters, more gold for me. It doesn't matter if they gone cause of start using their brains or cause they got baned. Im not gonna discuss with you on this thread, don't make off-top, and don't talk about it anymore only to make some posts on your acc, also don't comment that if you wanna only say "its not true", "no, you are stupid" etc. "Maybe its something worth taking under consideration" before next dumb post. Or you could just make sure you're botting from places that you cant be seen. I have 4 spots I bot, no one has ever found me in any of them. 3 of them they couldnt find me if they wanted. Also elixir of camouflage is a must

I usually don't reply to dumb posts, but for you I will make an exception. Why are you assuming you know how/what he is botting? Time means nothing if you pick good spots for the correct bots.

Advice on how many hours a day can be pretty much moot.

I've personally left my rogue online for days at a time, and nothing has happened.

Just be sure to sell the gold in a safe method (auction/guild bank transfer), definitely not mail.
