Potion of Treasure Finding: Gold Grind +/- 1500g-2500g per hour.

I didn't had as much as luck as OP had but i earned about 650-700g....

Potion is 300g on AH ( my server )

And in 1 hour i got about:
26 chests,
6 stacks of embersilk
2 greens ( about 100g when i D/E and sold mats on AH)
4 Volatile Water ( 200g )
0 blues
and a lot of gray trash loot ( about 60g from vendor )

so mats 600g ( ebmersilk ) + 100 DE mats + 200 Volatile Water + 60g trash loot = 960g
960g - 300g for a potion =660g

well thats kind of silly, isnt it? how are non-elites supposed to know there is a post already in elite about a subject?

After Tuesday server restart (12/14/10) this method still works and the mobs still drop chests.
On another note in 20 minutes so far 600g has been made, great method.

Been meaning to try this for days, but was to busy with Uni coursework...OK...

Including my skinning proff...killing the bats = 100% Savage leather everytime

Potion cost 250g..... Items i got in 1 hour : 101 Emb Cloths...216 Scavage Leather...Volatiles: Earth 4 Water 2 Fire 5 Life 8 Air 2....Taughened Flesh got 40 (sell 60g a stack)... Also recieved 8 Green items....
My server prices: roughly 190 per stack of Scavage Leather...
Emb Cloth - 150 a stack
Volatile Earth: 20 each, Air:65 each, Water: 42 each, Fire: 25 each, Life: 15 each

Greens also need to be sold....so i havnt added them in, was to long to do all in AH lol
All Greys i could hold in bag sold to vendor + gold collected from the mobs = 182G

Total = If all sell (and they should, sold these same items quite a few times now) 3412 - 250 (potion) = 3162

Me and my friend did this for 1 hour. And If we sell everything. It'l sell for about 4.6k gold.

Solo farmed for 1hour. I am a warlock and picked up Demonology to level/farm (hellfire is real nice)
18 stacks of cloth + 11 cloth x 11,50 ea
32 hypnotic dusts x 20,99 ea
10 greater celestial essences x 74 ea

Grand total of : 5678,18 gold.
In one hour.
Seems reaaaaally decent. Move to ELITE

Edit:
After another hour of farming:
Grand total of : 6280,0 gold.

So in two hours I made:

Doesn't look like either of these mobs will drop chests anymore. Just killed about 60 mobs without a single drop. (yes I used the potion)

edit: Spoke too soon. 82nd stone bat had a chest.

For the Stone Bats, make a macro:

/tar Stone Bat
/use instant ability

When you see the mfly by (their shadows are on the ground) pop your macro and they'll join in the fray ;-)

Second run, heres the breakdown:

155g from treasure gold/loot
160g from vendor trash
5 stacks +1 stack of 11 embersilk- 280g
3 volatile water- 55g
3 volatile earth- 60g
11 hypnotic dust - 143g
1 lesser celestial essence- 22g
2 greater celestial essecne- 118g
-10g tip
=983g
- 115 g for potion = 868g profit

Its getting less profitable and either I need to find a spot with better drop rates or I'm gonna stop, the pots on my server are expensive

I use a shaman.... all i do is hit 1 bat..they all come in...and earthquake...all dead in 5 secs...then i jst loot....same for the ones tht run around on floor in groups....they run at me, earthquake...earthquake again ... max 10 secs they all dead..

I just tried this. I'm a feral druid so my AoE isn't quite what it could be . Anyway, my results:

• 146g in Cash.

• 8 Green items disenchanting into:

9 Hypnotic Dust (30g each) = 270g
3 Greater Celestial Essence (75g each) = 225g
1 Lesser Celestial Essence (25g each) = 25g

• 38 Gray vendor loot stacks = 52g
• 18 Gray weapons/armor = 48g
• 94 Embersilk cloth (pre-chests) * 7.5g each = 705g
• 24 Treasure Chests containing:

69 gold
102 Embersilk cloth * 7.5g each = 765g
1 Volatile Air * 45g = 45g
3 Volatile Earth * 30g = 90g
1 Volatile Life * 10g = 10 g
3 Volatile Fire * 20g = 60 g

Which comes out to 2540g - 300g for potion = 2240g profit.
