Farm the ICC rep rings pretty fast

This could be a common sense. But anyways, here it goes.

1. From the start of week (raid-reset WoW-vise), go into every ICC10/25 avaible.

2. Slay the first trash mobs before Marrowgar. You could even AFK the whole time. Slay 1-2 mobs, then say: "brb sec". They won't probably notice you until the boss. Leave raid when they approach boss. Or just Alt-F4, so you don't get flamed.

3. Go into another raid. And so on, getting around 1000 rep per 20-25 mins.

4. ???

5. PROFIT.

Not a bad idea, at least I haven't thought of it / seen it posted before, but then again I don't need to do it.

Even though, here are some extra tips that I thought up:
1) Definitely do not just leave. Faking a DC is way better because it still had that bit of doubt. Plus it's so much easier than coming up with some excuse. You could fake the DC, then hop onto a bank alt to check your auctions, log back on main later again.

2) When you first join the ICC, put a bit of effort into helping it form. Such as trying to organize what classes/roles your raid still needs, assist with summoning, be friendly and mildly chatty - but not over the top. This helps give you a good image in the raidleader's mind, therefore less likely that he will think you bailed on them on purpose.

3) When you join the group, note down the raid leader's name. Then when ever you logon next after fake DCing or what ever, wisper the raidleader or send him an in-game mail apologizing for DCing (you could say something along the lines of; "If you recall I had to go afk for a few mins shortly after we began our ICC run, it was because someone was at the door. It was electricians who came to notify me that they were about to turn off the power for a few mins to do some maintenance work and it lasted a bit longer than I expected." - Very simply technique which takes a tiny bit of effort. What this does then is hopefully prevents you from getting a bad reputation on your server (it's unlikely but worth the extra effort if you value your server reputation).

4) Try avoid doing this over and over again with raid leaders from the same guild.

P.S. put more effort into your "guide". I know it's a simple technique, but it doesn't mean you can't put more effort into it. I probably spent more time writing my reply that you spent creating your "guide". I would also stay away from the lame step 1, step 2, ??, profit internet meme.

So if I posted a guide to making gold with a certain, are you going to post "Or just farm saronite ore?". Of course there are many different ways to do stuff - but that doesn't mean there is only 1 way. Besides with this method you get tons of rep for doing pretty much nothing other than joining a raid, afking until the raid is full, killing 2 mobs, going afk for another few mins, fake DC.

On topic: Joining or creating a rep run is much better IMO because:
1. Its faster.
2. It doesnt ruin your server rep at all.
3. You dont need a high gear score to join rep farm.

Now come on man, that's not really the greatest thing to say about what people try to contribute. I do agree that this post could do with a little bit more effort but you don't have to point it out so rudely. And in my opinion its really not the best idea to try to have it out with a moderator. Just saying. Also on a personal note, I really enjoy what people make, and i also really enjoy the pointless posts that people make (Not saying that this one is). Also some of the stuff that is made now is really well done. So you can't say that there is no good contributes.
