Easiest Way to Defeat Saurfang + Gunship Battle (works on heroic and for achievement)

So I ran ICC10 today (this works on 25 too AND this works on heroic versions of both) and a druid in our group showed us the easiest way to do Saurfang which I had not seen before which is a very easy way to get him down easily (easier, this fight is a joke) and more importantly getting the heroic version and getting the achievement easily.

1. Have the Saurfang tank (this can be anyone... even a rogue since once you have aggro on him, he stays focused on you) jump across and get his attention
2. Have the tank rocket jump up to the far left top part of the ship (try to stay near the middle)
3. Wait till Saurfang tries to run up and gets relatively close then hop down
4. Repeat

The advantages of this is that you can send much less healers (only one was needed to be sent) across the the other ship to heal the melee as the tank takes 0 damage.

Note: Do not waste your ammo or whatever as a hunter Lol theres no point, however this can be a very boring tactic for whomever is the Saurfang tank...

I hear lootship is a hard fight.

That being said, I watched the vid, and I'd def consider that an exploit (and I'm not talking about exploiting my ears with that awful music).

So I'm torn. Its a legit exploit which I've never seen posted before, yet its completely useless since lootship is the easiest fight in the universe.

I'm sure someone will rep you on this. I'll sit on it for a bit and decide.

Might want to edit your post... you're not kiting Deathbringer Saurfang, you're kiting High Overlord Saurfang. Confused the hell out of me when I first read it.

I don't know about Hordeside, but on alliance anyone looses aggro on him if you hop on the gunship. Even if you continue to attack him he'll just evade bug and run back.

2 things
1. You dont need to send over any healers anyways, if the tank positions himself properly the healers can reach him from the other boat and the dps wont take any dmg anyways unless they grab saurfang wich they shouldnt.

2. Doin this will mess up the achievement (guessing youre talkin about the one needed for mount). evey time you use youre rocket pack it counts as another jump. eg:
jump 1: tank jumps over to other ship
jump 2: Have the tank rocket jump up to the far left top part of the ship (try to stay near the middle)
hop down when close
jump 3: Have the tank rocket jump up to the far left top part of the ship (try to stay near the middle) <-- at this point you have failed the achievement.

This might work but seeing how easy this fight is anyways i dont see any benefit at all in using thins "exploit"

Achievement reads
"Claim victory in the Gunship Battle without any raid member visiting the enemy gunship more than twice in 10-player mode."

This is still doable with the method I posted, and I know this for a fact because I got the achievement doing so.

Also to everyone complaining about how easy this fight is, my main point was to post an easier way to get the achievement.

Can be espacially usefull if you are doing the achievment in 25 man and don't want to waste the heroic loot cause the duration of the fight is quite long and it's not really easy to complete the achievment in heroic difficulty....

Regardless of how easy the fight is, why not make it even easier with this exploit?

I also posted one for Gunship and got all the stupid replies of how easy it was but why not make easy encounters even more trivial and not to mention help with the achievements.

Not really a nice find coz any tank can jump on the front then the middle of boat and not get hit if there good enough.
