ALL "The Turkinator" guides!

I Saw tons of posts about how to complete "The turkinator" so I decided to put them together and also show how I did it.

DONT GIVE ME REP FOR THIS POST, IT IS JUST A COMPILATION AND NOT MY WORK.
Edit: As mentioned in many replies, I belive it is a good idea to bring together many posts like this so you don't have to read through loads of reposts all the time. Also especially these seasoned events I think it would be good to have a sticky / under-section for so you can just whenever its time for a event click in and see all guides on that event right there instead having to use the search-function each and every time.

The way I did it:

Basicly start at the bottom of Stonecarin Lake then move east and gor around Eastlogging Camp, you'll get all the turkeys you need unless others are there so do it either reallly late or really early!

You should also create a macro:

/Target Wild Turkey
/cast <Insert a RANGED attack here>

The ranged attack is optional, but I wouldn't use it. If there are no turkeys around you will attack the nearest thing and that will just slow you down!

Buffy's "The Turkinator" Guide!

I completed this achievement the 22. November 2009 at 16:17. Of course since I did this achievement so earlie after the Pilgrim's Bounty started, there were a lot of people farming the Turkey's I needed for this achievement, but I found out the best area to farm these.

First off, I will explain a bit in general what you need to do in order to obtain the achievement. When you start killing the turkey's you get a buff, this buff counts how many turkeys you kill, and you have 30 seconds between each turkey you kill before the buff disapears and you need to start over again. In order to get the achievement you need to get "Turkey Triumph", and to do this you need to kill 40 turkey's without the buff disapearing (at one time you may say).


Red Area: This area is where you will find most turkey's, but also most people farming for them, giving you a less chance of getting the buff "Turkey Triumph". Start at this area, and kill as many turkey's as you find. Start at the zepplin house and make your way around Brill and up to the yellow area.

Yellow Area: This area has less turkey's, but also less people farming for them, since this is a bit further away from the questgivers and npc's in Undercity. After you have done the Red Area go here and get your achievement completed.

If you follow my guide, you WILL get the achievement completed, and I promise you this is the fastest way. I have tried a couple of other routes / options of getting it done, and I found this way the best. I wish you good luck!

So, I was in Shatt on my mage (45), when I came across trade chat (no wai right!?) and I saw these in trade: Tracker Snacks - Item - World of Warcraft

These work just as if a hunter were to use track beasts. The recipe: Recipe: Tracker Snacks - Item - World of Warcraft can be bought in Dalaran at the cooking trainer.

Now this does require cooking, but during the holiday there is basically free cooking training, making it very easy to to get up to 400 to cook these. The snacks themselves do require level 70 to use though.


Help this helps you get your achievement!! I know for me it did! :wave::wave:

1: Invite a friend/random person to a group.

2: Convert to Raid

3: Make sure you're the leader

4: Make this macro

/tar Wild Turkey
/script SetRaidTargetIcon('target',8)

5: It will add a SKULL icon over the turkey, makes them very easy to find.

hello. this guide is how i got turkey nater in like 10min in middle of the day

ok here we go go to elwyn forest and go farm this spot keep running this path and kill the turkey's if u follow the path u will see they respaw all the time only problem if some body else is also there u will probly get problems anyway heres the patch ss

So if u see, these Wild Turkeys are in beast category.

You can make this achievement easier:

1. Switch to Track Beasts

2. make a macro: /tar Wild Turkey
/cast Hunter's Mark

3. Follow this route:

Alliance version
Horde version

Credit for Alli route: AwF
Credit for Horde route: jerry_teps

This is a simple macro that targets the nearest ALIVE turkey and casts the macro'd spell, considering how many people don't loot the Turkeys i've found the macro to be incredibly helpful, being a rogue I macro'd "Throw" to kill them.
Dependant on class replace "Throw" with any instant spell/attack that deals damage.

/tar [nodead] Wild Turkey
/cast Throw

When a Turkey is targetted, simply run/spin around and kill it, easy achievement
I tended to stick to the bottom of Elwynn Forest near the river and went from the west edge to east edge. FYI.

Meh.. The Turkinator achivement.. it has to been done but.. theres no easy way is there? Wrong!

i did this on my second try doing this method+route

1st: Set camera distance to max

2nd:Make a macro like this
/tar Wild Turkey
Put it on your action bar and spam it..

3d:Follow this route

Just a little tip.. try doing this off peak hours since well.. peak hours are peak hours

I think many of the people who are currently trying to complete the pilgrims bounty achievements are stuck with this as the last thing to do, high competition, slow respawns and a short debuff duration really make this a hell.

Other guides have already covered where best to farm them as both alliance and horde, so I will not go over that again, there are just another 2 tips I want to give:

1. the hunters Track Beast abilitys actually also works for turkeys, and since they are one of the only beasts with yellow markers around elwyn/tirisfall, this makes it really easy as a hunter.
2. the item Tracker Snacks - Item - World of Warcraft gives you the ability to track beasts, and thus turkeys, which should really make things alot easier aswell

As seen in his guide, the best part for the horde to take a walk.
Ofcouse Alliance can take this walk, but imo its not smart cause of pvp flagged.

Well my guide isnt really detailed, but all you do is find a secluded spot in Elwynn Forest, and have a straight line path for 50-100 yards and keep patrolling that area back and forth. The turkey spawn rates are about 15-30 seconds and have 2 different spawn points in each little 5-10 yd seperations.

basically this: '-' is your path, 'o' is the turkeys spawns.
