How to Ninja the Headless Horseman's mount

Hey guys, this is going to be a "common sense" thread, but as I recently got my shiny new mount after 157 kills with only one group falling apart using my strategry, I think its well worth posting so that others can use it.

Step 1 (Steps 1 and 2 are most important): Create a raid group - create a raid group with a friend and put him in group 2 so that nobody sees him believing that the party is a simple group of 5 people.

Step 2: Put master looter on - now we are in a raid group, this allows you to toggle master looter on with nobody seeing it as we put it on before we invite anybody.

Step 3: Contact lower levels 75-79 - To summon HH you only need to have a level 75 character, 80's are less likely to want to come with you to HH because they likely already have done it today or already have better loot, lower level characters however usually welcome a break from leveling and would desire the items that drop here.

Here's one of the templates I used in a macro to invite lower levels:

Hey there, I was wondering if you'ld be interested in joining me to kill Headless Horseman ? the seasonal boss that drops epics, pets and the occasional mount. I am looking for someone who can help me summon him so if you're interested I'ld love your assistance.

Keep it polite, decently lengthy and informative, prey on their greed a little by mentioning the drops and you'll have a group filled in no time.

Step 4: Mention the Brill summoning prequest, this usually isn't a issue when going with 80's that have already done it, but low levels are never called up for this and therefore you can take their second summons, help them get their quests as it's helping you get your horse.

Step 5: If anyone asks about master looter or raid, keep it cool, I usually reply with something of the lines of:

Yes, I would like to use master looter as a safeguard for this run, as I've seen a lot of people roll on the epics that drop here as soon as they see pretty colours.

If they comment on you wanting to steal the mount then try linking a fake achievement for the 100 mounts or the Headless Horseman's reins (never had to do it but you never know).

Raid Excuse

Being in a raid allows me to get in my alts that can also summon, the more alts we have; the more attempts we get and therefore the more loot.

Step 6: Go inside and kill the Headless Horseman - Note that most low levels will be confused with how they cannot roll, so after he dies say in the party chat that anyone that wants the loot should type /roll, if you do not do this, people may get confused.

A very common sense guide I know but I hope this helps some people out, you have to be able to reassure people when they may get aggressive but if you use something along the lines of the examples and use your head a bit you should be fine.

Worked so far (even though it hasnt dropped ..) then take mount and leave grp.

Done this with White Hawkstrider, Both Brewfest mounts, Voa Mount (different prices obv) and still my rep is higher then the average player.

Ahah Itzelsnitch yeah, I tried that too but sadly it never seams to work for me, most people realise that a Mechano-Hog costs 12500g+ and is quite a rare sight, for rare mounts most people seam to spit on less than 18k

Not name change, server change. People would still see a new person on Ashes of Alar, and wouldn't take long for them to piece it together. Old ninja missing with ashes of alar, new person with ashes of alar. hmm...
