To add, I think it may be possible to get exp while dead for that matter. (May be circumstantial though).

Today in AV on my rogue, I was waiting for a rez in the GY and I received Exp. Granted, it was from a big honor gain from progressing down the field, but I'll be testing out shortly if you can get exp while dead normally.

I believe this is true. I was in STV and I came upon an ally and I ganked him, he didn't release. After I killed him I finished his mob and he leveled. A corpse leveling gave me a few lols.

The dead thing should be fixed tbh.
Also when you kill him the mob becomes untaged.

I tested this and this works BUT it has limited range: i left my friend at FRC portal and cleared everything to main boss, killed him and he got achiev, after that i went to clear otherr part of rfc (where some orb thing is) and he didnt get any exp at all! It tried to go back to kill few mobs i missed closer to portal and he got exp again.

On map here Maps - World of Warcraft at the 3 dots i noticed that he didnt get any exp standing at portal (single dot on map). Since he got exp and achiev from boss and i cleared few groups after without noticing.... i dont know how long is exp gain range.

Well in smaller instance that shouldnt be a problem

If this works, make sure you have 10% exp shoulder and 10% exp chest. Thats 20% more xp.
If your faction has won WG you have 25% (not sure if it's in outland/ pre tbc as well)
If you are alliance and 60 you should go to valgarde (wotlk content) you can easily do 1 lvl in 20 mins or less.

no, where there are 72 elite gaurds. use search function to find it.

Small instances are okay though, and you can also try this:

All the dots is probably the zone where you can get experience.
