There is a range limiter but they increased the range that you can get exp. At certain place I get the xp even in the begining, I have tried it in SFK and SM cath/armory.

Is this a bug or did blizzard implement this feature intentionally?

No, but you will get more experience

You have more range now with patch 3.2, nomatter if you have RAF or not. Its implemented with the patch, not with a RAF feature

There IS still limited range, the range itself has just been significantly increased.

I honestly think it depends on the size of the instance. For example, SM Cath is extremely small, so yes, you can leave your alt at the beginning and he/she will still get exp/loot all the way up to the main boss.

But for larger instances (RFC for example, which isn't even big compared to DM or Mara) do give me trouble. In RFC, my alt will gain EXP all the way up to the first boss, but anything past that gives no EXP/Loot because it is to far, I always end up kiting them back.

Good to know, have a cookie.
Your thread is not [EPIC] or [LEGENDARY!!!], tagging your threads like that makes you look like an idiot.

    Well if we look:
    Horde boosting 8-60:
    8-15 RFC: Doable
    15-20 WC: Undoable
    20-40 SM: Doable
    40-45 ZF: Undoable
    45-55 Scholomance: Doable
    55-60 Ramparts: Doable

So you only have to move your chars in ZF and WC.
In RFC you can pull the whole instance in one pull
