Ok so I'm pretty much working on a project where I'm making a guide, similar to some probably, but as other guides state, the majority of all guides are just outdated and poorly made. Personally I've read and bought a few to test them out (including Warcraft Millionaire - the Blueprint to 1 million gold and Warcraft Wealth). The worst thing was I personally read 95% of a guide and ended up saying 'I knew that', but hey, I'm also a big gold-making fan.
SO! Enough introduction, I'll bring you 2 cutouts and tips from what I'm making. The difference from my stuff and most other is that in general guides and bougt guides, is that a normal guide say 'Do X for Y time and you can make up to Z gold', all you really have is their word. I dont like that approach which is why I chose to make detailed statistics over how I'm making gold, which can be up to as much as 1500g / hour.
Now these 2 things may be common knowledge to a few people, but hopefully the actual statistics arent and it's a formidable way to make some gold.
My first tip is for everyone, it's rather simple and it's increadibly easy to do. Jewelcrafters make shiteloads of gold (even with the low markets) and an easy way for non-JC's to get their part of the cake is to simply get other people to do the work for them.
Few examples.
The avarage price on an Autumns glow is around 15-20g / gem, sometimes cheaper (depending on the ammount of gems), however Rigid Autumn's Glow go for anywhere between 25(low) to 40 gold each depending on the time and the day. So if your a JC, buy the gem, and make 10-25g profit / gem. The good thing is that this gem is infact very hard to overpopulate the market with due to it's extremely high demand from alot of classes (especially rogues) so normally they'll sell easy on a 12hour duration.
This however can be done better, so lets take another gem.
Scarlet Ruby: An avarage scarlet ruby is anywhere from 50-70g / each, I've seen low peaks on 40gold aswell (in which case you should buy all the gems), however a bold scarlet ruby will very often go for 90g+. The good thing about this gem is that it's very variable depending on the day of the week, raid content and so on, so sometimes they even peak at 150g (and yes I do sell them for that).
Unfortunately my statistics arent complete on this one, however the monarch topaz is also a very good choice. Buy the gem for 15-25g / each and sell an Inscribed for 40-50g+
Now this is great for JC's but the real trick lies for those whom arent JC's. The majority of all jewelcrafters are trying to get gems cut for gold, normally around 5 / each. This doesnt however work very often, it is very rare I actually cut gems for anyone my self and it's very rare I hear people are actually making good money on doing it. This is what you want to exploit, the fact that the majority of all JC's dont have any 'costumers' at all. Give them an offer saying you want gems cut for 2g / each (3g is okay aswell, but the less the better ^^), most JC's will instantly say no, however if you tell them that you will give them in the range of 10-20gems a day they often change their standpoint, because you're offering them a steady flow of easy gold for them. In effect you just leech their proffession to make even more gold yourself.
Now this isn't a money-making game-changing tip, you wont make 10.000g a day by doing this, but the thing about making gold is that you want to do as many things with as little effort and that will add up.
I know you may think that I'm missing statistics on the above, and you're right - it is work in progress and as such I wont release bad information, however the estimated values are based upon my current set of data.
My next tip will be for herbalists and grinders. It is no secret that you can make alot gold on grinding, the question is just where you make the most. A good candidate to high profit / time is herbing in stormpeaks. I wont go into detail as how to do the route and find the route, but the short answer is get routes, gathermate and the data to gathermate and setup afull route in Stormpeaks.
On avarage 1 trip (with 280% mount) will take you 37-40 minutes. this will be faster if you have a 310 mount and if you're a paladin. Out of these 40 minutes you will use ¬4 minutes mounting, this will possibly only be 2 come patch 3.2, and if you're a druid you'll use nill and can make even more in less.
Here's a brief breakdown of 5 rounds for those interested in a bit of data, however this is far from complete (the actual guide currently contains 100 trips on this specific route with graphs aswell as detailed breakdowns).
These was actually quite low compared to other tries, but I didnt want to only show the high figures because then it isnt accurate - this is some of the lowest gold/hour trips I've had and some has peaked on ¬900-1000g / hour (depending on luck ofcause).Code:Round 1: Time: 39m 50s Lichbloom: 4 stacks + 7 – 108.75g Icethorn: 4 stacks + 12 – 105.80g Frost Lotus: 4 – 100g Eternal Life: 4 + 8 – 72g Total Estimated value: 386.55g Gold / hour: 582.25.10g Time of grind: Late afternoon Round 2: Time: 37m 40s Lichbloom: 2 stacks + 19 – 73.75g Icethorn: 4 stacks + 16 – 110.40g Frost Lotus: 3 – 75g Eternal Life: 3 – 45g Total Estimated value: 304.15g Gold / hour: 484.48g Time of grind: Early Evening Round 3: Time: 34m 04s Lichbloom: 3 stacks + 4 – 80g Icethorn: 2 stacks + 19 – 67.85g Frost Lotus: 4 – 100g Eternal Life: 1.5 – 22g Total Estimated value: 269.85g Gold / hour: 475.27g Time of grind: Noon Notes: 2 other grinding. I may post more when my guide progresses and I may give you an entire chapter with graphs and detailed breakdowns. If this is too little to be of any contribution let me know and I'll be more extensive next time, again, this is only a short plug of my entire work. I do however hope it's of use to someone. For more information on what the actual guide will contain you can always PM me.
Best Regards
