[Guide] A guide to XT-002 Hard Mode

Hey there, been a long time user, admittedly a leecher for a long while, but looking to change that.

First I'll go ahead and talk about XT-002 hardmode: Heartbreaker for 10 man. (inc amazing paint skills)

RED: XT-002 Spots (where he pats/where he waits)

Black Dot: Where gravity bombs should be taken (they spawn void zones when the debuff runs off)

Green DoT: (Where Light Bombs should be placed so the tank can see when the "Like Spark"s spawn.)

Blue Dot: Where XT should be tanked

Purple Dot: Where the tank should be. (It should be in this spot so junk adds don't come from pile(s) 3 and 4. If this method is used trash can only come from pile(s) 2 and 1 and makes for easier mis-direct etc.)

Pink Circle: Where casters should be, they can also move directly behind melee.

Pink Oval: Where melee should be. (PROTIP: Always behind a boss so they can't parry, when a boss parrys it increases speed of their next attack making it more mana intensive on healers.)

Strategy: The tank should position himself as shown in the picture above immediately. He/she can pull it with a ranged ability from there or have someone else misdirect it on to you.
The fight will go normal for the first 20-25% and light bombs/gravity bombs will act as normal mode ones until then, after that the heart spawns and all offensive cool-downs should have been saved for this point, this includes any 2-3minute cooldowns and heroism if availible. (NOTE: There will be anywhere from 0-2 Cleave mobs that can spawn from pile(s) 1/2 in the heart phase, you can see when they spawn by the large arcane explosion like graphic on the respective piles. These should be MDed onto the tank as quickly as possible to avoid mid-raid cleaves.)
Now that you have activated hard mode a few things change, first of all if your DPS met the heartbreak requirements your DPS will not have to worry about the enrage timer if you keep everyone up. Secondly the gravity and light bombs have different effects. (Note: There will be no more heart phases, there for no more adds from the junk piles.)
Light: This now spawns a add called the Life Spark, all members of the raid excluding tank should take these to the point mentioned in the picture so the tank can see when to taunt this mob. (TIP: So the tank doesn't have to deselect the boss they can use this macro to help them out :
    /tar life
    /cast hand of reckoning
    /tar xt-

Gravity: This now spawns a void zone and anyone affected by this debuff should imidiately move out of the raid so they don't put void zones in the middle of a group of people.

Tympanic Tantrum should now be shield walled if there is a light bomb/life spark on the tank as to avoid the tank from getting gibbed.

The fight is pretty straight forward after that, becoming much of a burn encounter with the odd bombs coming through, so once the heart is killed it should be fairly easy.

NOTE for the tanks: Use a Indestructable potion before the fight and you will have another one availible for the hard mode encounter.

I hope you guys found this guide insightful and I will continue to post guides if this helps someone out.

Should include a video, and no need to introduce the basic strategy, you should be naming tips and tricks, as any serious guild attempting this should know it inside out already.

I don't have access to a video from my perspective until next reset, and I think I named most of the tips for the 10 man at least, this isn't the most complicated fight after all.

This is basically how we did it too...The tank had his back to the wall between the piles, melee was behind the boss, ranged was behind the melee...The only difference we had was that if you got the spark you were to run behind the ranged. When the spark spawned, we had a ret pally with that macro taunt the add and ranged burned it down. All in all not too difficult of a fight, got it down the third attempt.

    Anyway, +rep

    Ditto:
    Setup

    MT
    LB's-----XT---------
    Melee
    *
    *
    *
    *
    *
    *
    ---------------------------ALL RANGE---------------------GB's

Phase 1: Simple DPS, nothing special. Just practice placing light bomb targets quite close to melee but not close enough to hit them (the closer the easier it is for the MT to find the life spark and taunt it when it spawns) and having your gravity bomb targets just head to the right side (the right side will eventually become a black hole more or less but it's away from the raid). Don't forget to heal through Tantrums.

Phase 2: Bloodlust @ 76% (assuming tantrum isn't going to happen in the next few seconds) so when the heart is exposed, you'll have full dps time. EVERYONE needs to use all cooldowns and a DPS potion of some sort (depends on raid dps, but you get the idea).

Kill the heart and stop dps on XT. You're going to let all the little repair bots get to him (which is fine since he healed anyway from starting hard mode).

Tank, just pickup the Pummeler(s) that spawn, and all dps focus those down while the scrapbots reach XT. Melee, be sure to avoid bombbots that get close (call out which direction they are coming from).

Phase 3: XT is now back @ 100% life (+ bonus from engaging hard mode) and he's hitting 15% harder (Tantrum really sucks now).

At this point, you need a smooth steady high dps to just take him out before enrage timer.

    Key Points:
-Light Bomb targets: MAKE SURE you are close enough to the tank so he can easily target and taunt the Life Spark when it spawns.
-Gravity Bomb: AS SOON as DBM announces GB and marks the target, that person needs to MOVE ASAP! Tantrum + GB can equal a wipe due to the daze effect of tantrum.
-Tantrum: Be ready for it as soon as the CD is up. Healer should always be prepared for an "Oh ****" moment during this part.

Who you have killing the life sparks is up to your raid leader (and raid composition). My guild just has the 8 or so Melee dps turn and move 5 ft or so to kill the spark and get back on XT. When range dps the spark it means finishing the cast we are on, starting to cast on the spark, and then probably getting casting interrupted when it dies in mid-cast, wasting dps time.

Thats the closest I can find to a similar kill video related to the strategy i listed.
The points are made: Sparks on the left side (although as close to melee is best), Gravities on the far right side. They go the extra mile and kill the trash that goes for XT after heart phase which isn't necessary.

XT is quite easy imo, but might help the new people indeed.

I agree mostly. The only 2 reasons people can't do this are:
-Being lazy (don't use all their CD's, don't switch targets, don't maximize dps, etc)
-Being undergeared (you are incapable of doing this)

Since the nerf to XT, the fight enrage timer is now so long that Hard Mode can be done by a lot more guilds than before.
