While I agree i'd like to see a nicer, less uh.. elitist (closest word I can think of) community, most of the "OGHMDGHREPOSTFGKDF!!!11!!!ELEVEN!!" is generally warranted. So many people post threads without searching, and then have the audacity to say they did search and didn't find anything, which is obviously a lie since after every one of those posts someone will search and show anywhere from 5-20 other copies of the thread.

I agree people who are stubborn should be made to endure all the "elitists" bashing them but when a thread has 9 replies one being from the OP 7 being from people going OFVIHSJCAPSLOCK!!!!! OMG REPOST!!!!!!!!!!1 REPORTZOR
only need one post like that not 7... and the other 1 being poster saying he searched and foudn nothing when thats a bold faced lie.

Whatever meaning for this guide/thread was just hopefully change peoples attitudes and treat the new people coming with a little more respect, and in reverse new people reading this treat veteran memebers with respect... doubt it will really reach anyone and forums will continue having people just be rude for no reason.

This is why, at the top of nearly every subforum, is a sticky that says "Read before posting" "What belongs in this section" or something similar.

I'm just wondering at this point if you even think about everything you say before you post it.

I understand your intent: Make MMOwned a more friendly environment compared to its current condition, but it's not something you can make a small post on (like your opening thread topic) and have it be effective.

Reach a broader group: post in WoW General or General Chat (or even suggestions if you have solid methods to attempt your goal). Make a more thorough post: Explain in more detail the problem, provide examples, clean up your posting, and provide evidence of why you think your methods to make this place better will be better. People will be more inclined to pay attention.

not posting is above flaming if u want to bash the OP cause if noone posts his thread quickly vanishes from the front page but as the people keep flaming it stays on top.

So either people just try to enlarge their postcounter or they just enjoy participating in a virtual lynch mob and i admit sometimes the least one is fun :P

Snowman if you have noticed a lot of people on this forum are really mind numbingly stupid and flaming is the only ability they posses. All you have to do to overcome it is out wit them.

When some 12 year old pre teen posts flaming someone all you need to do is be smarter than them and make them feel small. A lot of people on this forum are flaming to get post count or something to feel ub3r 1337.

Its also pretty sad that conitrubtors are doing it, a lot of new people who come to the forum will look to the contributor as a sort of idol. So when they see a contributor talking through their ass they think thats ok and its a vicious circle.
