[HardMode - Ulduar] helpful macros

list of friendly macros I have developed and discovered to help get me through Ulduar Hard mode. I play a Shadow/Disc priest, so keep in mind Some of these macros are spec and class specific. I almost always bind them to my 1 key and that way I always have access, and I change them for every fight.

Flame Leviathan

/tar liquid pyrite
/use grab crate
/cast grab crate
/targetlasttarget

Useful as a demolisher passanger to keep your pyrite stocked fully.

Ignis the Furnace Master

/tar Iron Construct
/cast Taunt, Growl, whatever pallys do

Helpful for tanks that struggle with finding the Iron cunstructs during this encounter.

Razorscale

/tar Sentinal

Self explanitory, but there was a short while where some of the folks in my raid had a tuff time differentiating between a Dwarf, and a Vrykul.. Go figure. This macro saved the day.

XT-002 Deconstructor

/tar Heart of the Deconstructor

Self explanitory, helps you get a jump on heart DPS.

/tar Life Spark
/cast Shadow Word: Pain
/targetlasttarget

Specific to Hardmode, feel free to sub in whatever spells or spells you need to get that spark down ASAP.

/cast Shadow Word: Pain
/targetlasttarget

Great for helping out whenever possible. Will not de-target XT. Is great for meter padding as well :P

Iron Council

/tar Maintanks name
/cast dispel Magic
/targetlasttarget

Rune punch safty macro.. If you can Dispel, regardless of your class/spec. you SHOULD absolutly be spamming this when you see "RUNE PUNCH" on your tank. Your letting your crew down if your not.

Freya

/tar Eonar's Gift
/tar Strengthened Iron Roots
/cast Mind Flay
/targetlasttarget (replace with whatever spell you need)

When trying to hardmode it is imperative that "everyone" works on both gift/roots to maximize efficientcy.


Thorim

/tar Dark Rune Warbringer

As a Shadowpriest I use this to target a Dark Rune Warbringer at the end of the arena phase. Then I use this macro to MC it.

This macro Alows me to [ALT-click] and have the target set as Focus. Then I can target whatever I want and all I have to do is press it again, and it will auto MC the first target that I [ALT-Clicked]

**Note** If you want to MC in this fight you need frost res gear, and make sure you are standing directly underneath Thorims balcony.


Mimiron

/stopcasting
/tar Maintanks name
/cast Pain Suppression
/targetlasttarget

This Macro is for Plasma blast on Mimiron. It will immediately STOP anything you are casting, and applys Pain supression. As a Disc priest it comes in quite handy throughout the instance, as well as others. I just call it a Mimiron macro because he inspired it. Holy priest could also adapt it to fire Guardian spirit. As well as most other mitigation spells from other classes. ie:Paladins.

Yogg Sarron

/tar Sara
/kiss
/targetlasttarget

Cheap and easy Achievement (remember this is ONLY during P2)

General

/script SetCVar("cameraDistanceMax",30)

A must have for ANY raid fight. sets the maximum distance you can pull your camera out to way beyond default settings.

/stopcasting
/cast Mass Dispel
/targetlasttarget

The speed kill for Hodir require cluth healing/DPS. I find this macro to be invaluble, and have currently replaced my normal Mass dispel key with it as the stopcast is key to being an efficient dispeller.

Don't forget for Algalon, the ppl who are moving the "Living Constellations" into the black holes, its sometime hard to target the things :P aswell as Collapsing Star for the mages.

• For people going up on FL to kill turrets

other than that, looks nice and thorough. Might want to note also that the Freya macro is good, however both the tree and roots persist for about 5 seconds after death so you'll be losing that DPS time unless you're manually re-targetting those mobs (since it will always target the closest iron roots first, dead or alive, and then once they all despawn the macro will target the tree, dead or alive, until it despawns.)

Instead of

I would use

/cast [target=Maintanks name] Dispel Magic

Same with the other /target ... /targetlasttarget macros you use
