carring arena points over season theory/idea

I just thought about how the arena points you have at the end of a season get deleted now, But you can get refunds for items you buy for 2 hours?

I bought an item on my alt paladin about 3 weeks ago and i've not logged on it since, I could still resell it to the arena vender for all the points back. So The thoery is - Could you buy a complete set of arena gear on the last day of the arena season and log off until the patch is live and then Sell em back? Saying that though - Perhaps it wouldn't sell back as the item would perhaps not be in the same place..

This idea would ofcourse work for honor points better but there's no reason to do that xD

You can, lasts 2 hours. Almost like the timed items from EG Hallows end

Well, but no1 knows if the 2 hour timer is still there after a new season starts.
It's a good theory, but I must say I wouldn't test it myself.

The 2 hour timer expires even if you are logged out of the game. So unless Blizzard decided to do rolling restarts the day of the patch (never gonna happen) this is useless.

Not true, it is judged by two hours played on that character with said item.
