[Guide]Hunter Warrior 2v2 Team!

Yo rawflstomp here (Everyone knows me ^-^) and recently I just came upon a hunter in WoW...He said he wanted to practice some 2's but I thought "This wont end well at all!" So the first round we lost (OFC), but the second one we won and so on. I found out a few simple tactics to help you win if you decide to get a warrior teammate or a hunter teammate (This only works if you are the opposite A.K.A you have to be a hunter and he/she has to be a warrior or vice versa...)

TIPS FOR WARRIOR OR HUNTER

1:The hunter is mainly used as the bait! Coming from a /played time of 233 days, I've noticed that in arena in Pre WoTLK most of the time hunters would never get attacked, they would only get CC'd. Now that people have found out that the hunters are whats really screwing them over, they are getting killed first most likely.

2:The warrior is pretty much assisting the hunter take down the healer or clothie. (If there is no clothie or healer then you attack the one he attacks.)If a healer is getting piled by a Surv/AimShot hunter and an MS warrior there is no way the healer will survive to long!

3:Make sure that the hunter uses frost trap IMMEDIATELY!! Remember a trinket can't help when its an AOE snare or AOE immobilization effect! (HoF or Hand of Freedom is the only thing that can free this Including Bubble ^_^)

4:The warrior must use Rend + Hamstring as soon as you attack the target the hunter attacks or the hunter tells you to attack! Slowing down your enemy can confuse and make his reaction time a bit slower. (This can also cause your opponent to Bubble, Trinket or waste CD's that he shouldn't waste.) You want to rend because this will keep the opponent in combat for an extra few seconds and will cause him/her to be unable to use Bandages until the rend is finished proccing.

5:The hunter must use Aimed Shot as soon as he/her has found their target! The reason why you want to do this is so you can reduce the healing and so the warrior can use Mortal Strike and then just go on a complete rampage!!

6:As soon as the warrior see's Rend, Hamstring, Mortal Strike and Aimed Shot debuffs on the target, use Bladestorm! Why you may ask? You want to use Bladestorm so you can get the rest of your debuffs on them. Like Trauma and Deep Wounds! Even if you did crit on them and you have both debuffs on them its still good to do this so you can continue to do your burst. Also most of the time after your Bladestorm it allows you to use Execute and Overpower!

7:The warrior must save atleast 20+ Rage during the fight just incase something bad might happen. Like if the mage uses Iceblock then you have to right away use Shattering Throw. It could be best to make a macro for it. I'll explain this later though.

TIPS FOR BOTH!

1:Since there are no direct healers in this team you have to be cautious of of your health and your opponents health! Also since warriors have a heal that can heal for 30%, you are most likely to survive. (They also have another Talent that lets them heal for 6% if fully specced into after being hit by a crit!)

2:Since both classes are a direct and burst of damage you both are going to be targets of CC's (Class Control or Crowd Control). In this case you have to make a decision wether or not to trinket. If the warrior is CC'd and your fighting a healer and a fighter then most likely you wont have to trinket, but if the hunter as CC'd and its the other way around then you might have to.

3:Its very important that the hunter and the warrior stay together in the begining of the arena battle. I don't know why but for some reason in every arena no one just charges in...there's always those first 10 awkward seconds of just moving left and right looking at your opponents health and talking trash about them over vent (lol). If you guys split up in the begining this could be a quick and easy loss for you. A rogue could start stun locking your partner while your not even near him trying to go for the priest...WHO KNOW'S!!

TALENTS!

Now this is a very important part in this guide, because if your specced wrong you could just simply mess up your whole team and end up with 5 losses and one win saying "YEAH WE TOTALLY OWNED THOSE NOOBS IN QUEST GEAR >"....and I don't think I want to say that again -__-...Here are a few warrior Specs and Hunter specs

Warrior

Mortal Strike Healer:Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

AP Stack Executioner:Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

Gunna Slow You Down:Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

Those are the three basic specs I have tried out. Personally I like AP Stack Executioner but Slow You Down is very effecive when fighting rogues or casters. Mortal Strike Healer is a good basic spec to try out just for Shytz n Gigglez but its pretty good to use .

Hunter

Sorry for all of you hunters out there, but there just aren't that many good PvP hunter specs :\! This is the basic one you might see around. If you have anymore feel free to PM me with them I'll edit them and give you the credit ! (I will look at them to see if they truly are a hunter PvP Spec!!)

Pets

Now you're probably thinking "Man I know pretty much just about everything I'm supposed to do with my warrior teammate, but now I just need my little buddy!!" What to choose? Well me and my hunter friend did a few Non-Rated 2v2's to see which pet would be good for him. We did 3 fights for each. Here are our results

Cat:Hunter did 38793 damage. Out of that damage his Cat did 9342 damage.

Crab:Hunter did 25303 damage. Out of that damage his Crab did 11931. (Note the crab has a very cool effect called Pin. This effect is very helpful for stopping enemies who are coming towards you.)

Rhino:Hunter did 11830(He died in that fight /cry). Out of that damage his Rhino did 3219. (Note has a little knockback effect called Stampede thats very useful for kiting :O)

Personally the crab was the most useful. I know people might use Boars or something else, BUT please remember its your decision. I'm getting this info based on What I've seen happen and what I think is most useful .

Addons

In the recent patch, Blizzard added something new to the User Interface that lets you see your opponents.

If the opponent is stealthed it will not show them until they unstealth!

So pretty much there is no use for addons besides a few that /rw When things are happened like if a trinket has been used, if an opponent or a teammate is low health or if someone Bubbles or uses LoH! Right now I can't remember the name of this addon but when I find it I'll edit it !

How to survive?

1:Know when to use your trinket or when to use CD's!!

2:Have atleast 300+ Resil before trying an arena thats rated! (If your 250+ You might want to add a 20+ Resilience socket to a piece of your gear to get close enough :O)

3:Help your partner out and tell them whats going on. I reccomend one of you uses vent! (Even if you don't have a mic and your partner does, don't be shy go in there ^_^! If atleast one of you has a faster communication it could help your team drastically!!)

4:Know your CD's!!!! It makes me cry every time I see a Rogue using Evasion against a caster. Or a warrior not using Enraged Regeneration. (Sorry if I got the name wrong!) KNOW YOUR CD'S...LEARN 'EM LIVE 'EM LOVE 'EM !!!

Q:Whats a good UI for a warrior/hunter

A:At the moment the only addon/UI I am using is the regular WoW interface, but I would try searching Mmowned or Google (Wait don't try Google...everything turns out to be porn nowadays lol) for a good interface that suits you. Don't rush in to the arena as soon as you get it though. Try killing a few mobs getting used to it .

The addon you're looking for is called Gladius. It automatically declares when someone trinkets, bubbles, etc.

Yes Actually I've seen very rare teams that even have over 1k with this set up but me and my friends do damn fine....we did once with 23-10 made a new team because Blizzard flagged our team name (Sniffmyclit) right now were 13-13 because he had his little brother play a few lol

heh...I found a 2v2 Hunter Warrior Vid and they aren't even PvP geared or in PvP spec......actually they're in all blues and greens!! (Warrior has 1 epic LOL) its only like 2 fights but if your in full deadly and you get beat by a hunter with like 12k hp and a warrior in greens and blues? skill or.......what lol?

This team does have a lot of burst -- hunter alone can do enough dps
With a warriors blade storm and a hunters burst + The Right CC this team could go far
im running Ret Pally / Resto Druid 2v2 -- 2192
Bubble would be the only that that would save us
