You can definatly do this as ret. I was soloing all of the trash (before the trees) without much bother at 73/74 in in full s4.

Protadin, level 71, About 70% physical damage mitigation, havn't applied any elixers, 11k HP, rather average gear (All level 71 quest gear).

About 7 tries so far, each time I could only manage to get the tree guys down to 25k before the little plant ****s off then I just lose track and die XD

Alright so I gave it a shot on my 72 warrior with fury build and prot gear. Got worked by the first 2 pull, but did get them almost down. I think at 73 or 74 I will be able to pull it off.

Also in regards to the little frayers getting back up and running away, which of course makes you loose the aura and get owned. It helps if you pull 2 and then kill the frayers close enough to where they originally are so that when they pop back up they immediately reaggro and get dpsed down with your aoe so you get the aura back. If you time it right and kill one slighty after the other you can keep it so that you never lose the aura.

Little tip: Bring someone else.

Me and a Ret Pally were owning it (Until he DC'd then we got owned by a pat)

We were both rested and the 37k hp mobs were giving us 5k exp a kill and the trees 10k.

If you're looking for an easy alternative to this, keep the quest Breaking Through at hand, as you'll be able to get up to the Necropolis where Valnar lurks. His lieutenants give 10k EXP rested and are no problem to kill solo (Only really tried at a protadin XD).

They were hitting me for around 500 each. But beware, one of them (The one not on the balcony) has Blood Presence and uses 2 or 3 DK spells which will take you down should you ignore them.
