I'm nearing the 1000 fish achievement having picked up fishing when I saw this thread; now have 276+80/300 fishing and not a single key.. just buckets and buckets of Shimmering Minnow and Slippery Eels; aside from the lootfiltered greys

Can anyone else confirm that this won't work for characters below 60? Doing this on my 59 twink since I got nothing better, lol.

You should use AutoBOP (addon wich loot the BOP items^^)

To use the addon, you have to disable the WoW autoloot and to enable the AutoBoP autoloot in the game options

Making gold while afk sounds cool and all, but out of curiosity is this grounds for banning because of botting? Doesn't sound as bad as level botting but it might skew the economy.

yeah i've seen people get bans for using a fishing bot. The best place to use it really is in instances where people don't notice you standing there for 16 hours.

I've used one before and haven't been banned. Not sure it's detectable by Warden - but most of the times people get banned using fish bots in the wrong place..and I'm not so sure that the middle of Dalaran is an inconspicuous place... :-/

Niice, did this for almost a whole day, got a few rares which goes for quite a bit on my server, and i hope it is't against the rules to contribute (Spellt right?) some extra tips:
You can stand in the water where the footlocker is, and you can fish from there thru the hole, makes you harder to see if your botting, i mean, how often does ppl look down there. (Reduces ur chanses of being reported for botting.)
